COMMISSIONERS' COMMENTS
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Nyland stated she would like more community members to attend the
Commission meetings to be well informed about public safety in the community. She
stated her first priority is the safety of children. She believes there are not enough Motor
Officers in front of the school on Riverside Drive. She stated that she thinks this is
because the State dropped funding for Motor Officers in this area, which has allowed
reckless driving and endangerment of children. She also asked for speed bumps to be
installed in neighborhoods with speeding and safety concerns.
Commissioner Sund thanked the officers for their presentation, as well as the City of
Lake Elsinore for the State of the City D VDs.
Commissioner Ross thanked the officers for their presentation, as well as the audience
for their attendance and participation.
Vice Chairman Gregory had no further comments.
Chairman Stewart had a question about the Slurry Seal Project. He wanted to know if
the excess asphalt would be cleaned up on Lakeshore Drive. Also, he thanked
everyone for their attendance.
There being no further business to come before the Commission, Chairman Stewart
adjourned the regular meeting at 7:18 p.m. to the next regular meeting to be held at
6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the Cultural Center located at 183 N.
