HomeMy WebLinkAboutHandout @ CC Meeting 6-26-2012Reasons to Create Legislation to End Fluoridation of Public Water in
the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District:
" Fluoridation of public water for dental health purposes is forced medication by
the stage, which is not an institution of healthcare professionals. Doctors must have
patient's consent before they can begin treatment on patients. Many nations in
Western Europe have banned it nationwide for this reason.
Fluoride is only effective against cavities when applied topically to teeth, not
when splashed upon teeth as with drinking.
" It is an industrial waste product from the phosphate fertilizer production process
and it is cheaper for producers to sell it to municipalities than to discard it. in toxic
waste dumps where it belongs.
* It has been added to water municipalities since 1945 with no major study on its
long term effects on the body conducted on humans or animals.
Children newly born to 8 years old are at risk of dental fluorosis, a discoloration
of teeth with either yellow or white blotches visible on the surface. The Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) advise against using tap water in baby
formulas for this reason.
Many independent researchers in the U.S., China, and elsewhere show that
fluoride reduces IQ, children being at a higher risk of permanent impairment. It
hinders mental activity and causes the exposed to be more lazy and pacifistic in all
mammalian animal studies. Keep in mind this substance is currently in the public
water supply.
Thousands of doctors, dentists, and other healthcare professionals speak out
and have signed petitions against the fluoridation of public water. It being linked to
increased rates of bone cancer and damage to the pineal gland.
* Hundreds of cities and towns across North America are banning fluoridation of
their water, including these Californian cities: Davis, Mammoth Lakes, Manila,
Morgan Hill, Redding, Redwood Valley, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, and Watsonville.
All data shows that fluoridated cities have neither better dental health nor fewer
cavities than cities without fluoride treated water.
