Re: Chairwoman Melendez Health & Safety Code § 33130.5 Disclosure
Dear Virginia
Chairwoman Melendez recently acquired real property located at 9 Corte Rossa within the
boundaries of the Rancho Laguna Redevelopment Project Area No. 2 in the City of Lake Elsinore.
The property serves as her principal residence.
Based upon my discussion with Community Development Department staff, the City f naled
the improvements on the property as complete and the residence was approved for occupancy on
May 29, 1997. By that action, the property was legally able to be sold and occupied. While the
property is located in Redevelopment Project Area No. 2, the Agency has not participated in any way
in the improvement of the property. This letter serves as certification on behalf of the Agency that
no improvements need to be constructed or that no work needs to be done on the property.
Because the property is located within the boundaries of a Redevelopment Project Area,
Chairwoman Melendez must comply with the disclosure requirements of Section 33130.5 of the
California Community Redevelopment Law. I have asked Chairwoman Melendez to prepare the
necessary disclosure to the City and the Redevelopment Agency. I anticipate that such disclosure
will be submitted by June 14, 2011 so that it maybe properly entered into the minutes of the June 14
City Council /Agency meeting.
