I am absolutely delighted that the Council is heading toward the elimination of the 4pm Agenda Study Sessions.
1) it saves money as staff can concentrate on their tasks rather than sitting through the study sessions,
2) it improves transparency as the Council meetings are better attended and televised,
3) councilmembers who wanted to "blindside" other councilmembers didn't do it at the study sessions
where it would be productive,
4) employed councilmembers can get a full day of work in prior to the Council meeting, and
5) discussions at the 7pm will enable the public to better understand the reasoning behind the decision.
I'm sorry that I must miss tonight's meeting as it has great importance in improving the governance of our
community.
You've got my vote!
