No. 1935-229ORDINANCE NO. 229 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ELSINORE IECLARING THE SOLICITING AND PEDDLING OF GOODS, WARES AND 1,"EERCHANDISE ON PRIVATE PROPERTY TO BE A MIS MAEANOR & PROVIDING FOR THE ABATMENT OF THE _ SAIM AS A NUISANCE. �'I The City Council of the City of Elsinore does ordain as follows: Section_ 1. It is hereby determined that the practice of entering in and upon private residences and,grounds in said City without the request or in- vitation of the owner, or occupant of the same by solicitors, peddlers, hawkers, itinerant merchants or transient vendors of merchandise for the purpose of disposing of, peddling or hawking the same constitutes a nuisance and is hereby declared to be such. Section 2. The commission of the nuisance as described and specified in Section 1 is hereby declared to be a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $300.00 or by imprisonment in the City Jail of the City of Elsinore, for a period of not more than three months, or by both such f and imarisonmenti, ' Section 3. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith ; are hereby repealed. Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to this Ordinance and cause the same to be published in the Elsinore Leader - Press. Passed and 'adopted at a regular meeting of the City of Elsinore on the 23rd day of December, 1935, by the following vote: Ayes: F. H. Smith, 0. B. Sheane, F. A. Poach, J. E. brills and N. Matich. Jo Kalina, the duly elected qualified and acting Clerk of the City of Elsinore, California, do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was duly and regularly introduced on the 9th day of December, 1935 and was adopted by the City Council of said City of Elsinore at the meeting held on the 23rd day of December, 1935, by the following vote: Ayes: F. H. Smith, 0. B.- Sheane, F. A. Poach, J. E. Mills and N. Matich. Noes: None: C Absent::- None.
