AN ORDINANCE OF Tug: CITY OF ELSINORE REGULATING AND PROHIBITING THE KEEPING OF CERTAIN KINDS OF LIVESTOCK WITHIN CERTAIN ZONES IN THE CITY OF ELSINORE The City Council of the City of Elsinore do ordain as follows: SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Elsinore does hereby determine and declare that the following described portion of the City is essentially a residence and business district in which are located many apartments, bungalow courts and rental properties and that the keeping in said district of certain animals herein prohibited shall be deemed and ..is hereby declared to be a public nuisance. That the district so referred to consists of all of the City of Elsinore excepting that portion thereof lying; North and East of the following described Streets: SsrMNOR Commencing at the intersection of Ridmt atreet with the Nortweste y City limits; thence Easterly.alon ° Street to its intersection with Sprung Street; thence .Northerly along ?767 -rrvr Spring Street to its intersect° j Street; thence Easterlya n iStreet to its intersection wi treat; thence Southerly along Street s to its intersection with Franklin Street; thence Easterly along Franklin Street to its intersection with Conklin Avenue; thence Southerly along Conklin Avenue, Grove Avenue, Elsinore Height and Mountain View Avenue to its intersection with ins gou-'herly City r �- -limits. SECTION 2; That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to keep or raise cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens,.pigeons, geese, ducks or turkeys for com- mercial purposes within that certain portion of the City of Elsinore described in section one of this ordinance, and cats or dogs in quantities greater than three, or rabbits, chickens, 1. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 ti. 10 11 12 13 14 15 0 m W i 16 > V Q oa 17 m F <w W ^> 18 romrc 0 0 & 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 pigeons, geese, ducks or turkeys in quantities greater than twelve, shall be conclusively presumed to be for commercial purposes. SECTION 3: That it shall be unlawful for any persons firm, or corporation to have or keep during the hours between 6:0O o'clock P. M. and 8:00 o'clock A. Id. of the following day, any rooster or male geese, ducks, turkeys or guinea within that portion of the City of Elsinore described in section one of this ordinance. SECTION 4: That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to keep, maintain, or harbor within that portion of the City of Elsinore described in section one of this ordinance, any animal or fowl which habitually makes loud noises or interferes with or disturbs the peace and quiet of the neighborhood. SECTION 5: That any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined by a fine not more than $100.00 or by imprison- ment in the City Jail for a period of not more than three months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each such person, firm or corporation shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each day during any portion of which any violation of any provision of this Ordinance is committed, continued or permitted by such person, firm or corporation and shall be punishable therefor as provided by this Ordinance. SECTION 6 °. The City Clerk shall certify to this Ordinance and cause the same to be published in the Elsinore Leader Press. Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City of Elsinore on the C� day of ��/L�9 1934, by the following vote: 2.
