AN ORDINANCE�OF THE CITY OF ELSINORE REPEALING ORDINANCE
NUMBERED 174, WHICH PROVIDED FOR THE HOLDING OF A SPECIAL
ELECTION IN 9EIE CITY OF ELSINORE ON THE 24TH DAY OF MARCH,
1925 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING A CITY CLERK OF SAID CITY
TO SERVE OUT THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF WILLIAM HEREERT, RESIGNED.
WHERFAS,,This Board has - found -that said special electia.
which - was -duly authorized to be held on the 24th day of March,
1925Y is illegal, in that any vacancy occurring In any of the
offices of cities of the sixth class shall be filled by ap-
pointment by the Board of Trustees, jAnd,
WHEREAS, in the event of said Board of Trustees failing
to fill such vacancy by appoint*ent within thirty days after
such vacancy occurs an election must be called to dill such
vacancy, and
WHEREAS, no petitions have been legally filed by
qualified candidates to fill such vacancy in a manner required
by law for Cities of the Sixth Class,
NW, THEREFORE, the Board of Trustees of the City of
Elsinore do ordain as follows:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 174 is hereby rep
and that no Special Election shall be held for the purpose
of electing a City Clerk on the 24th day of March, 1925.
Section 2. That the Deputy City Clerk of the City
of Elsinore shall certify to the passage of this ordinance
and shall cause the same to be published once in the Lake
Elsinore Valley Press, a weekly newspaper of general circulatio n
and no other notice shall be given of the repealing of said
Ordinance.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect
upon its passage and publication.
