AN ORDIN€NCE. OF THE CITY CF. ELSINORE CALLING AND PROVIDING
FOR THE HOLDING OF A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY
OF ELSINOR.1, ON THE 7th DAY OF OCTOBER 1924, AND SUBMITTING
TG THE QUALIFIED VOTERS DP SAID CITY A CERTAIN PROPOSITION
FOR THE INCURRING OF A BONDED INDEBTEDNESS FOR THE PURPOSE
OF ACQUIRING AM ADDITIONAL SULPHUR WATER SUPPLY FOR THE CITY,
BY THE PURCHASE OF TWENTY-THREE LOT'S, IN THE CITY CF ELSINORE,
FROM ALBERT T r . LEGAYS, AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEVELOPING, EX-
TENDING AND IMPROVING THE PRESENT MUNICIPALLY-OWNED SULPHUR
WAaTEFA SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF ELSINORE,
WHEREAS, The Board of Trustees of the City of Elsinore, at its
regular meeting duly held in the City hall of said City on the 2JA, day of
Ff 1924, by a vote of more than two - thirds of all its members only passed
and adopted a "RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ELSINORE,
CALIFORNIA, DEaERMINIaG AND DECLARING THhTTHE PUBLIC INTEREST, HEALTH, NECES-
SITY AND WELFARE DEMAND AND REQUIRE THAT HE CITY CF ELSINORE, DO HAVE AND
OBTAIN A BETTER AND MORE ABUNDANT SUPPLY OF WATER FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT OF
SAID CITY, AND DEMAND THE ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION AND COMPLETION BY SAID
CITY OF SUCH W.>sTIR- BEARING LANES AND IMPROVEMENTS AS MAY BE DEEMED NECESSARY
AND PROPER, BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES, FOR THE SECURING AND DISTRIBUTION OF
SAID ADDITIONAL WATER SUPPLY," and which said Resolution was numbered 110, and
said Resolution was thereupm duly signed and approved by the President of
said Board of 'Trustees of said City and was duly attested and certified by
the City cater: of said City, and was duly published in the manner and form
required by late.
NOW, THEREFORE, The Board of Trustees of the City of Elsinore do
ordain as follows.
Seciion l.. That a special election be read and thesame is hereby
called and ordered to be held in the City of Elsinore, on the 7th day of
October 1924, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of said
city the proposition of incurring an indebtedness and issuing bonds of said
City therefor in the amount hereinafter stated, and for the objects and pur-
poses set forth in the aforesaid Resolution and hereinafter stated.
Sect n_k; That the ob ecis and purposes for which said indebt-
noes is proposed to be incurred and bonds issued therefor are as Jb llows,to -wit
The purchase by the City of approximately twenty -three (23) lots fra
and of Albert F. Le aye and wife, and which said Lots are now optioned to the
said City, for the such of Four Thousand Dollars ($4000.00), and for the pur-
pose of developing, extending and improving the present municipally ®owned
sulphur eater system of the said City of Elsinore,
Seetior , That the estimated cost of said proposed municipal
improvement is the scan of Fifteen Thousand Dollars 0159000.00), that the
amount of the principal of the indebtedness to be incurred for said improvement
is the sum of Fifteen Thousand Dollars 415000,00), and that the maximum rate
of interest to be paid on said indebtedness shall be six per cent (€%) per annu .
payable semi-annually, That if the proposition of inc=urring said iard ebtedness
for said purpose so submitted receives tiro- thirds of the votes of the qualified
voters voting at said election, bonds of said City in not exceeding the prin-
cipal sum of Fifteen Thousand a ollsrs (Q5000.00) shall be issued and sold
for the objects and purposes set forth in section two (2) hereof.
Bognor 4e That the polls for said election shall be opened at
eight O'clock A.M. of the day of said election and shall be kept open until
six o'clock P.M. of the some day when the polls shall be clos & Provided,
however, that if at the said hour of closing „there are any voters in the
polling place or In line at the door thereof who are qualified to vote and
have not been able to do so since appearing the polls "shall be kept open
a sufficient time to enable :them to votes but no one who shall arrive at the
polling place after six o'clock P.M. of said day shall be entitled to vote
although the polkas may be open when he arrives.
The ballot to be used at avid election shall contain, in addition

City of Elsinore ; that the City hall in said City of Elsinore is here-
by designated as the polling place it which said election shall be hel&
That the following named persons, being competent and qualified electors
and residents of said City and precinct, are hereby appointed officers
of election, and they shall hold said election end make return thereof
the manner provided by law.

said election shall be held and conducted as is provided by ;aid for holding
municipal elections in said City.
That the Board of Trustees of said City of Elsinore,
shell meet at their usual place of meeting in the City. Hall, on Monday
the 13th day of October 1924, at 7 :30 o'clock p.m. of said day, en ;a shall

sleotion.
Sectzo Tact the City Clerk shall certify to passage
and adoption of this ordiAnace by a. vote of more than two - thirds of all of
the Board of Trustees of said City at a regular adjourned meeting,of the
said Board, and its approval by the president of said Board and shall cause
said ordinate to to published once a week for two (2) successive weeks
in the'Lake Elsinore Valley Press, a news paper published less than six
(o) days a. week in said City of Elsinore, and no other notice of said
election need be given,

of said City held on the day of September 1924, duly

thirds of all its members and thereupon duly signed and
approved by the President of said Board and that said ordinance
was adopted by the following vote:
