BE 7, FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Elsinore approves the following terms and
conditions relating to participation in the County contract for lubricating oils and greases:
1. Will make all purchases it its own name, for public use only;
2. Will be responsible for payment directly to the vendor and for tax liability, and will
hold the County harmless therefrom;
3. Has not and will not have in force any other contract for like purchases;
4. Has not obtained and does not have under consideration written bids or quotations from
other vendors for like purchases.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 30th day of June, 1969, by the City Council of the City of Elsinore.

RESOLUTION NO. 1289
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA,
REGARDING MONDAY HOLIDAYS.
WHEREAS, Public Law 90 -363: 90th Congress, approved on June 28, 1968, enacted that certain national
holidays be observed on Monday, and
WHEREAS, said law will take effect January 11 1971, in order to allow an opportunity for the States
of the Union to amend their laws accordingly, and
WHEREAS, the State of California offers an unlimited variety of recreation opportunity which could be
better utilized by its citizens with three day weekend and at the same time fully observe the meaning and
purpose of that holiday, and
WHEREAS, modern transportation puts California vacation attractions within a few hours reach of all
Americans, and
WHEREAS, California is anxious to share its vacation attractions with out of state tourists, and
WHEREAS, three day weekends offer additional opportunity for California citizens to visit many of the
State's attractions.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Elsinore, California, does hereby resolve as follows:

That the City Council of the City of Elsinore request all member cities of the Citrus Belt Division of
the League of California Cities to support legislation which will change certain State holidays as follows:
"Washington's Birthday ", the third Monday in February.
"Lincoln Day ", the second Monday in February.
"Memorial Day ", the last Monday in May.
"Admission Day," the second Monday in September,
"Columbus Day ", the second Monday in October.
"Veterans Day ", the fourth Monday in October.

That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to Mayor Howard Wiefels, President of the Citrus Belt Division,
and Councilman Walter Stewart, of Ontario, Chairman of the Citrus Belt Division Resolution Committee.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 14th day of July, 1969.
