The City Clerk shall publish a notice of said special election as required by the Annexation Act. of 1913, at least once a week for the four (4) weeks prior to the date of the election on June 8, 1965, in the Riverside Daily Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation printed and pub- lished outside of the City of Elsinore, but in the County of Riverside, California. Bartlett Mayor of the City of Elsinore A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELSINORE CALLING A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, THE 6TH DAY OF JUNE, 1965, PROVIDING FOR THE HOLDING OF SUCH ELECTION AND SUBMITTIMG TO THE ELECTORS RESIDING IN SAID CITY THE QUESTION WHETHER CERTAIN TERRI- TORY SHALL BE ANNEXED TO, INCORPORATED IN, AND tME A PART OF SAID CITY OF ELSINORE: ESTABLISHING ELECTION PRECINCTS AND POLLING PLACES IN SAID CITY: APPOINT114G THE OFFICERS OF ELECTION FOR SAID SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION, AND PRO- VIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF SUCH ELECTION. WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 1150, the City Council of the City of Elsinore declared its intention to call a special election to be held in certain inhabited territory contiguous to said city proposed to be annexed to the city, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors residing in said territory the question whether or not the territory shall be annexed to the city, and to call a special election in the City of Elsinore, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors residing in the City the same question at the same time pursuant to the requirements of Section 35122 of the Government Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS, all proceedings have been had in accordance with said resolution and the Annexation .Act of 1913, reference thereto hereby being made for further particulars; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Elsinore does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. A special Municipal election is hereby called to be held in said City on Tuesday, the 6th day of June, 1965, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors residing in said City the question whether or not certain territory shall be annexed to, incorporated in, and made a part of said City of Elsinore. (LEGAL DESCRIPTION ON FILE) SECTION 2. The polls at said election shall be opened at 7:00 o'clock A.M. of the day herein fixed for the holding of said election and shall be kept open until 7:00 o'clock P,M. of the same day, when the polls shall be closed. SECTION 3. Upon the ballots to be used at said election there shall be printed the words: SHALL "# 9 VALLEY ANNEXATIOIP' BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF ELSINORE? Opposite those words there shall be printed the words "Yes" and "No ", and to the right of each of these last two words there shall be a voting square. If an elector shall stamp a cross in the voting s qua re .after the pr I nted word "Yes" the vote of such elector shall be counted 1n favor of the annexation of said territory to the City of Elsinore; and if an elector shall s[a mp a cross in the voting square after the printed word ^No" the vote of such elector shall be counted against such znnoma ton. In all particulars not herein recited said election shall be held in conformity, as near as may be, with the laws of the State of California concerning general elections and with said Annexation Act of 1913. SECTION 4. (a) That for [he purpose of holding said special municipal election, there shall be and are hereby established three (3) voting precincts consisting (of consolidations) of the regular election precincts in the City of Elsinore established for the holding of state and county elections, as said regular election precincts exist on the date of adoption of this resolution. That the polling places for the respective precincts shall be the places hereinafter designated; and that the persons hereinafter named, being competent and qualified electors and residents of said City and of their respective voting precincts, are hereby appointed officers of election for their respective voting precincts and they shall hold said election and make return thereof in the manner provided by law.
