HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Reso No 1956-876BE IT RESOLVED bythe City Council of the City of Elsinore that for the prapose of holding the general municipal electionon the second Tuesday in April 1956, election precincts numbers one (1) and four (4) be consolidated into one voting precinct to be known as "Elsinore Consolidated Precinct 1 P}, the polling Place for slid precinct shall be at the City Fire Station located in the City Hall Building at 130 So. Main Street Elsinore, Riverside County California, and that the polls shall be open to electors from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P. M. on said election day and that the following are hereby appointed election officials for said election Inspector Judgg3 Clerk Cle rk Arthur G. Barger Ora L. Bandy Wanda J. Wagner Beatrice Dorchuck BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That election precincts numbers two (2) three (3) and five (5) shall be consolidated into one voting precinct to be known as "Elsinore Voting precinct 2 " and the polling place for said precinct shall be at the :Presbyterian Church social hall located at 603 West Graham Ave. Elsinore, RiversideCounty, CaL £ornia, said polls shall be open from 7.:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. on said election day, and that the following shbll be appointed election officials for said voting precinct. Goodwin City Clerk City of Elsinore RESOLUTION N0. 876 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELSINORE AUTHORIZING CITY P.'iRTICIPATION IN GROUP HEALTH INSURANCE ON BEHALF OF ITS EIPLOYEM . BE IT RESOLVED: by the City Council of the City of Elsinore that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to complete negotiation on behlf of the 8ity of Elsinore with Aetna Life Insurance Company to procure for the employees of said city a group insurance policy as outlined in plan submitted by said company through its local agent, ddted Jan 10, 1956, with said city participating in the cost of said insurance in amount not to exceed fifty (50) per cent of total cost. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Clerk and Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to with hold once each month from the salary of each employee participating in said insurance plan an amount sufficent to defray said employees portion of cost of insurance, and to handle wit eld monies through "Employees deduction fund" in the same manner that the social security monies are now handled. WITH THE PROVISIONS OF PART 1.5 OF DIVISION 2 OF THE REVE?NE AND TAXATION CODE, KNOWN A THE cRADELY -BURNS UNIFORM SALES AND USE T:,S LAW. Whereas, on the 15$h day of March 1956, unofficial representatives including many city councilmen ad city attorneys, and the city managers of several cities of riverside county convened in the city of Banning and unanimously approved the adoption of the provisions of the Bradley -Burns uniform sales and use tax law, by the board of supervisors of the County of Riverside, and Whereas, it was unanimously recommended at said conference that the official representatives from the several cities of Riverside County appear before the board of supervisors of said county on April 9th, 1956 at 9:30 o'clock A.M. to urge the adoption of the provisions of said uniform local sales and use tax law by said board of supervisors, and Whereas, the City Council of this city does, endorse and approve the provisions thereof for the imposition
