A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LAKE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING GRANT
AWARD FROM THE CALIFORNIA STATE PARKS
DIVISION OF BOATING AND WATERWAYS FOR LAKE
ELSINORE AQUATIC CENTER
WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elsinore is required by the State of California
to maintain the lake for public park and recreation purposes in perpetuity; and
WHEREAS, the California Division of Boating and Waterways is
authorized to provide grants to cities, counties, districts, and other public agencies for
operating Aquatic Centers; and
WHEREAS, The City supports the Division of Boating & Waterway's
Mission to provide safe and convenient public access to California's waterways and the
public's right to safe, enjoyable and environmentally somid recreational boating, and
WHEREAS, The proposed Lake Elsinore Aquatic Center would provide
boating safety courses, on- the -water training of small watercraft, loaner life jackets,
public access to paddlecraft and promote environmental stewardship; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elsinore is willing to enter into an agreement
to provide for the operation and maintenance of the Lake Elsinore Aquatic Center at no
cost to the State.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE
ELSINORE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. By adoption of this resolution the City hereby accepts the
grant award from the California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways
for the City to operate and maintain the Lake Elsinore Aquatic Center.
Section 2. The City of Lake Elsinore agrees to accept the grant and
hereby authorizes the City Manager to sign the grant agreement and accept the
grant for the purposes stated above.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Lake Elsinore, California, this 25th day of Mardi 2014-

that Resolution No. 2014 -014 was adopted by the City Council of the City of Lake
Elsinore, California, at a regular meeting held on the 25th day of March 2014, and that
the same was adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Council Member Tisdale, Council Member Magee, Council Member
Hickman, Mayor Pro Tern Manos, and Mayor Johnson
