ORDINANCE NO. 399
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
ELSiNORE PROVIDING FOR THE
.LICENSING OF WHOLESALE AND
RETAIL HUSINESSES, TRADES AND
OCCUPATIONS AND REPEALING
ORDINANCE NO. 267 AND ORDI-
NANCE NO. 307 AND ALL AMEND-
MENTS THERETO.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ELSINORE DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION A: It shall be unlawful
for any person, whether as owner,
manage[. principal." agent, clerk. em-
ployee, officer or corporate. or as an
officer of nny corporation, or other-
wise, tq commence, manage, engage
in. conduct or carry on any business,
vocation. profession, Calling. Show.
~exhib(tion or game, in this -0rdinance
specified, in the City oY Elsinore,
without first complying with any and
:all regulatiotts for such business, vo-
~cation, profession, calling. show, ex-
':hibition or game contained in this
ordinance. The carrying on of any

SECTION D: The conviction. and

SECTION E: No Derson shall be ll-
rensed under this ordinance as to any
business, vOCatlon, pursuit, proYeaSlOtt,
calling, show, exhibition or game
which is regulated or licensed by the
State oP California unless at the time
of issuance oY a city business license
hereunder such person is duly licensed
by the Stale of California. Presenta-
tion of a valid unexpired State Li-
cense shall be prima facie evidence
that such person Iz so licensed by
the State of CalfYOrnle.
No Ilcense shall be issued under e
fictitious name Lo any person conduct-
ing or carrying on any business, voca-
tion, profession, calling, show, exhi-
bition or game, Such license shall be
Issued in the true name or names of
the owners of such business, vocation,
profession,, calling, show, exhibition
or game.
SECTION F: Every person required
to have a license under this ordinance
and carrying on a business at a fixed
place shall keep such license posted fn
a conspicuous place on the premises
so as to be readily seen. Every person
required to have a license, but not
carrying on a business at a fixed
place, shall exhibit such license when-
ever requested to do so by any officer
of the City,
SECTION G: Licenses granted nr
issued under the provisions of this
ordinance shall not be transferred. nor
shall they authorize any person other
than therein named to do business,
nor shalt they authorize the person
therein named to' do business at any
location or premises except as speci-
fied in the license, unless they be
transferable licenses and first ~be
transferred by the Clty -Clerk.

Licenses hereunder shall be trans-

SECTION H: No license shall he
issued hereunder when the provisions
of some other ordinance of this City
require a permit to be obtained as a
prerequisite to entering Into such bus-
iness, anti] such permit is first applied

graph shall be void and' of no etieM.
Each license shall be issued for a
specific location or premises except
where this ordinance expressly allows
otherwise.
No license shall be issued on any
application when the place where the
business. trade or occupation sought
to be carried on is not in the proper
zone or district therefor, or is other-
wise not qualified in accordance with
the provisions oP the zoning ordin-
ances of the City of Elsinore. Any li-
cense Issued contrary to the provisions
of this paragraph shall be void and oY
no effect.
No license for any ensuing, current
or unexpired license period shall
