The City Coti;ncil of the-City of rlsino.re does hereby ordain
Section l: The term Rummage eale as used.here9.n shall incTude '
the sale or oP`ering ior sale to the public o£ any secondL-and praperty~
merchandise, goods, or junk, including reclaimed or saivag~u goods, by any

pro,.it organization' cr any individual purporting to act on behalf o° charity~
Sor the real or purported ~uroose o£ devoting tne oroceeds to charitable
or berevolent purposes.
Section 2e-: No Rummage Sale shall be held, conducted, or
advertised wi.thout a permit therefor £rom the-City Clerk of tne Cit~r of
~lsinore.

Section 3~ 'The City Clerk sha11 issue not more'than one
permit to any one oroanization or individual ir. any quarter of the calendar
year. Such permit shall be valid only £or the particular ;hree day period
specified: thereon; shall be issued withou~ charge; shall not be transferable;
and shall be valid ~n13r i'or the one location speci£ied thereon.
Section-1t: A Rummage Sale permit shall be issued only upon
written application~ veriYied by a person who is to Ue in effective control
oi the conduct of the sale, which shall certi£y that the.proceeds o£ th~
nroposed Rummage Sale *aill be devoted to chari.table purposes, and that the
apnlicant if it be-an organization is a nonprofit organization. The denial
of any such applicati.on, or the revocat9.en or suspension of any Rummage Sale :,
per.mit shall net af£ect the right of the anplicant to apply for a second-
hand or junk 3ealer'~ Iicerse; upon payment o£ the required fees therefor
ar.d othereaise complying ur_th ap~licable Ordir_ances.
Section 5: Any per~~nit issued hereunder may be revoked or
suspended~ and any subsecuent application within one year dPnied £or the
cailful violation of the lat,~ in the conduct of the sale, or whenever the
City Counoil shall £ind-£hat the sale is being conducted for private gain
or pro£it and not for charitable purposes.
Section (: No Rummage Sale permit shall be required of any
person who holds a valid license and perrnit to engage in the secondhand
business or in the junk business, £or which he has pai3 the regular license
£ees. •
Section 7: Any person, whether as principal~ agent, enployee~
or otherwise~ vioiaLing any of the provisions o£ the Ordinance shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereo£ shall be plu~~~hable by a f'ine
o£ not more than ~3~0.00 or by inprisonment in the City Jail of the City
of '3lsinore for a term not nxceeding three months, or by both such fine
and imprisonment. Such person shall be deemed guilty o£ a separate o£fence
for each and every day during any portion o£ which any violation o£ this
drdinance 5.s conunitted, continued or permitted by such person9 and shall be
p~uzi.shable as herein provided. The rereedies provide3 Yor herein shall be
curnulative and not exclusive.

CALIFORrdIA~ PRG'JIDING FOR AATNE'n'I~TION OF UNIRi=
HABITED TkRHITORY.
A Resolution giving notice of proposed annexation to the City
of Elsinore~ State oi' Cali£ornia, Number 779, having been passed and ad~pted
by the City Councils City of Elsinore on June 8th, 1953~ specifically
descr5.bing the boundaries of the territory to be anrexed, designating it by
the appropriate rame o£ "West Addition", and giving notice of the time and
place £or hearing protests therto; and
A copy of the said resolution having been published once a week for
__... two weeks prior to th~ hearing in the Elsinore Leader Press, a newspaper
~ ~ of general circulation published in the City of Blsir.ore, and also in the
~ I Riverside Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation published in the
_- County of Riverside but outside the Gity of Dlsinoreg and a nearing on the
proposed annexation having been duly heard in accordance with the published
notice on J~ly 16th, 1953, and no protests having been made or preser.te3
at the hearing or prior thereto; and the City Council having found that it ,
would be to the zdvar.tage o£ the City o£ Elsinore that said property be annexed
