ReSOLUTION DECLARING THAT PROCEEDINGS Hi\VE BEEN
INITIATED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY Of' ELSINORE
TO ANNEX TO SAID CITY CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRI-
TORY DESCRIBED HEREIN, AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE
PROPOSED ANNEXATION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELSINORE,
CALIFORNIA:
1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the flAnnexation of Un-
inhabited Territory Act of 1939," proceedings have been initiated
by the Council of the City of Elsinore, on its own motion, to annex
to the City of Elsinore all that uninhabited territory situate in
the County of Riverside, State of California., and described as fol-
lows:
Beginning at the northwest corner of Section 10,
T68, R4W, 8BB~1, said point being on the present east-
erly boundary line of the City of Elsinore;
thence southerly, westerly and southerly along the
present boundary of said City of Elsinore, throughout
all its various courses to the most southeasterly corner
of said City, as presently described;
thence leaving said present city limits, on a course
southeasterly along the center line of an unnamed street
(now known as Sylvester Street) as shown on Plat Showing
Resubdivision of Block D Elsinore, on file in Book. 6, page
296, records of San Diego County, California, and along
the southeasterly prolongation of said center line to a
point on the southwesterly line of Lot 3, Sedco Tract No.
2 (sheet 3) on file in Book 10, pages 76 thru 78 of Maps,
Records of Riverside County, California;
thence northwesterly along the southwesterly line of
said Lot 3: and along the nor~hwesterl?, ~ro10ngation. there-
of to a po~nt on the center l~ne of Loc IFn (i':'Ialaga Road)
as per said map of Sedco Tract No.2;
thence northeasterly along said center line of Lot I~il
(Malaga Road) to a point on the most westerly line of Lot
26, of said Sedco Tract No.2;
thence northwesterly along said most westerly lot line to
the northwesterly corner of said Lot 26, said corner being
on the southeasterly line of Lot 25, said Sedco Tract No.2;
thence northeasterly along said southeasterly line of
Lot 25 to the southeasterly corner thereof;
thence northwesterly along the northeasterly line of
said Lot 25 to the northeast corner thereof, said corner

being on the southerly line of Section 10, said 1'6S, R4W;
thence easterly along the southerly line of said Sec-
tion 10 to the southeast corner thereof;
thence northerly&ong the easterly line of said Sec-
tion 10 to the northeast corner thereof;
thence westerly along the northerly boundary of said
Section 10 to the point of beginning.
2. That the said Council of the City of Elsinore desires to
annex said uninhabited territory to the City of Elsinore for the
following reasons: Said territory is contiguous to the City of
Elsinore, and its proposed annexation will contribute and facili-
tate the orderly growth and development of both the City of Elsinore
and the territory proposed to be annexed; will facilitate and con-
tribute to the proper and orderly layout, design and construction
of streets, gutters, sidewalks, sanitary and stonn water sewers
and drainage facilities, both within the City of Elsinore and the
territory proposed to be annexed; and will provide and facilitate
proper over-all planning and zoning of lands, and subdivision of
lands in said City and said uninhabited territory, in a manner
most conducive to the welfare of said City and said uninhabited
territory; and the County Boundary Commission of Riverside County;
California, did in session duly assembled on the ___,.._. day of
__._,._._' 19_., approve the proposed annexation boundaries, as
above described, and as submitted to said Commission by the Council
of the City of Elsinore, California, prior to the initiation of
said annexation proceedings.
3. That ______.___.______...,19.__....;;..., at the hour of 7:30 P.H.
of said day, in the COill1cil Chambers of the City Hall in the City
of Elsinore, County of Riverside, California, is hereby fixed as
the time and place when and where any person owning real property
within the uninhabited territory above described and proposed to
be annexed to the City of Elsinore and having any objections to
the proposed annexation may appear before the Council of the City

Elsinore and show cause why such uninhabited territory should
not be so annexed to said City of Elsinore. Such protest must
be in writing, may be filed at any time before the hour set for
hearing objections to the proposed annexation, and shall state the
name or names of the owner or owners of property affected and the
description and area of such property in general terms.
4. The City Clerk of the City of Elsinore is hereby author-
ized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published
at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in~,.._~~"dL~_..

of general circulation published
which it is proposed to an-
nex the aforesaid territory, and also in
a newspaper of general circulation published outside the City of
Elsinore, but in the County of Riverside, California, the county
in which is located the territory proposed to be annexed to the
City of Elsinore, said publication to be complete at least twenty
(20) days prior to the date set for hearing.
5. The City Clerk of the City of Elsinore is further author-
ized and directed to cause written notice of such proposed annex-
ation to be mailed to each person to whom land within the territory
proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last equalized county
assessment roll available on the date the above said proceedings
were initiated, at the addresses shown on said assessment roll or
known to said Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and
address and the designation of the lands in which he has an interest,
either legal or equitable, with said Clerk, such notice to be given
not less than twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on
the proposed annexation.
6. In the event any land within the territory proposed to be
annexed is owned by a county, the said City Clerk is directed to
cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to

the Board of Supervisors of such county:; such notice to be given
not less than twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on
the proposed annexation;
7. In the event there is, upon the land proposed to be an-
nexed, a structural improvement owned, being acquired or leased
by a county fire protection district, the said Clerk=is directed
to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed
to the governing body of such district, such notice to be sent not
less than ten (10) days before the first public hearing upon such
proposed annexation.
8. The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to be
given to such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto,
in the manner required by law.
