RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELSINORE TO INITIATE
ON ITS OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CER-
TAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELSINORE:
1. Tha.t the Council of the City of Elsinore, for the reasons
hereinafter mentioned, proposes to initiate on its own motion, as
soon as it can legally do so, proceedings to annex to the City of
Elsinore all of the territory hereinafter described, as uninhabited
territory, under provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Terri-
tory Act of 1939 as set forth in Sections 35300 to 35325, inclusive,
of the Government Code of the State of California.
2. That the Council's reasons for proposing to initiate said
annexation proceedings are as follows: The annexation of the here-
inafter described territory will contribute to the orderly growth
of the city and provide for recreational facilities within the area
sought to be annexed.
3. That the territory which the Council proposes to annex is
hereby identified as "Annexation No.4, Lake," and consists of all
that real property situate in the County of Riverside, State of
California, described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 7, Block H,
Rancho La Laguna, County of Riverside, State of California,
which is also the south corner of Lakeshore Drive Addition,
as shown in Book 9, pages 65, 66 and 67 thereof, Riverside
County Records;
Thence northwesterly along the southwesterly line of said
Lakeshore Drive Addition, to its northwesterly end at the
east corner of Lot 15, Block B, Rancho La Laguna;
Thence southwesterly along the southeasterly line of Lot
15, Block B, and Lot 22, to the east corner of the south-
west 20.25 acres of said Lot 22, Block B;
Thence northwesterly to the southeasterly side of Riverside
Street and the mid point of said Lot 22, Block B;
Thence southwesterly along the southeasterly side of
Riverside Street to the southwesterly side of said Lot 22,
Block B;

Thence all of Lot 23, Block B, excepting the south-
westerly 14.50 acres of said lot;
Thence southwesterly from the south corner of Lot 30 to
the intersection with the Irish-Led1ie Tract nortpwester1y
line;
Thence southwesterly 1649.2 feet to the most northerly
corner of Lot 3, Block C, Rancho La Laguna;
Thence southeasterly along the northeasterly line of
said Block C to the most easterly corner of Lot 35, Block C;
Thence southeasterly from said easterly corner of said
Lot 35, B1ock'C, which is the common corner with Lot 1,
Block D, Rancho La Laguna, along the northeasterly line of
Lots 1 to 13, inclusive of said Block D to its intersection
with the northwesterly line of Russell Street;
Thence northeasterly to the north corner of Lot 15, Block D;
Thence northeasterly along the northwesterly line of Block
E, Rancho La Laguna;
Thence along the westerly line of Blocks F and H, to the
point of beginning.
4. That the City Administrator of the City of Elsinore is
hereby directed to file with the Boundary Commission of the County
of Riverside, State of California, this proposal to initiate pro-
ceedings to annex the hereinabove described uninhabited territory
to the City of Elsinore, and to request a report by the Commission
as provided for in Section 35002 of the Government Code.
