RESOLUTION N0. 1483
A RE50LUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE
II.SINORE, CALIFORNIA, SUPPORTING THE ESTABLI3flMENT
OF A NATIONAL CEMETERY IN THE RIVERSIDE AREA AND
SUPPORTING Tf~ LOCATION OF SUCH A FACILITY ON SURPLUS
LAND AT MARCH AIR FORCE BA3E.
WF~REAS there is a pressing need for a National Cemetery in the
Southern California area of the Nation; and
WHER.EAS consideration is being give to locating such a cemetery on
surplus land already owned by the Federal Government at March Air Force Base,
Riverside County, California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lake
Elainore, CaliPornia, that the City Council hereby urgea the 3ecretary of
the Air Force and other federal officials to take the necessary steps to
establish such a Pacility at March Air Force Base and hereby goes on record
as supporting such a proposal.
ADOPTED by the City Council and signed by the Mayor and attested by
the City Clerk this 26th day of August~ 1974.
