A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSLNORE
ESTABLISHING A CLASSIFICATLON FOR CERTAI.N STREETS BASED ON THE
FUNCTION OF THE STREETS AS DEFINED BX THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, Senate Resolution 49,,1969 regular session, requested the
California State bepartment of-Transportation,to perform a functional
classification study of highv~tays, roads, and streets in cooperation ~ith
cities and counties; and
WF{EREAS, Assem6ly Bili 69 (1972) required the updating of the
classifieation study as a part of the development of the State transport-
ation plan; and
41HEREAS, the functional classificati.on is expeeted to 6ecome the
basis for the;al}ocation of Federal highv~ay funds; and
l,(HEREAS, tFie City of Lake Elsinore has completed the functional
classification of city streets based on the criteria set forth by the
State Department of Transpor~ation and prepared a map depicting same;
NO[~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
La[ce Elsi.nore accepts the map on fi7e`i.n the office of the Director of
Pub]ic Worfcs as the functional classification of certain streets within
the City of La[ce Elsinore:
