HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Reso No 1974-1465 RESOLDTION N0, 1465 A RESOLUTION OF THE CYTY COUNCIL OF THE CI17 OF LAKE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE GENERAL 1 MONICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY -0F LAKE ELSINORE ON THE 5th=:DAY OT R7ARCEI, 1974, DECI,ARING THE RESULT 2 TfiEREOF AND SUCH OTHER MATTEEtS AS ARE PROVIDED ~7 LAW. 3 WHEREAS, a regular general municipal electSon was held and conducted / 1 4 in the City of Lake Elsinore, County of Riverside, State of California, on $ Tuesday, the Sth day of March, 1974, as required by law; and 6 WHEEtEAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly given in t1me, 7 form and manner as provided by law;'that voting precincts were properly g established; that election of£icers were appointed and that':in a17. respects 9 said election was held and conducted and the votes cast thereat, received 10 and canvassed and Ehe returns made and declared in time, form and manner 11 as required by the provisions oP the Elections Code of the State of 12 California for the holding of elections in cities; and 13 WE~REAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 1458 adopted ~he llth day of 14 February, 1974, the City Clerk of the City of Lake Elsinore canvassed the 15 peturns of said election and has certified the results to this City Council, 16 said results are received, attaahed and made a part hereof as "Exhiblt A," 1~ NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE, lg CALIFORNTA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 19 SECTION 1. That $here were 4 voting precincts established for the 20 purpose of holding said election consisting of consolidations of the 21 regular election precincts in the City oP Lake Elsinore as established for 22 the holding of state and county elections. 23 SECTION 2. Tlxat said regular general municipal election was held for 24 the purpose of electing the following officers of said City as required by 25 the laws relating to cities in the State of California, to wit: 26 Two (2) Members of the City Council of said City £or the full term of four years. 27 SECTION 3. That the whole number of votes cast in said City (except ; 28 absent voter ballots) was 957. 29 That tha whole number oE absent voter ballots in said City was 23, 30 making a total of 980 votes cast in said City. 31 SECTION 4. Dawe Jerry Griffin Adam Natalie xh"s~:trie number of votes given at each precinct and the number o£ votes given in the City to each of such persons above names for the respective offices for which said persons were candidates were as listed in Exhibit "A~~ attached, SECTION 5, The City Council does declare and determine that: Frank L. DePasquale was elected as Member of the City Council of said City for the full term of four years; Etigene J. Carter was elected as Member of the City Council of said City for the full term of four years. SECTTON 6. The City Clerk shall enter on the records of the City Council of said City, a statement of the result of said election, showing: (1) The whole number of votes cast in the city; (2) The names of the persons voted for; (3) For what office each person was voted for; (4} The number of votes given at each precinct to each person; r (5) The number of votes given in the city to each person. SECTION 9. 1'hat the City Clerk shall immediately make and, upon compliance by the persons elected with the provisions of Section 11550 and Section 11559 of the Elections Code of the State of California, shail deliver to each of such persons so elected a CertiPicate of Election signed by her and duly suthenticated; that she shall also administer to each person elected, the Oath of Office prescribed in the State Constitution of the State o£ California and shall have thein subscribe thereto and file the same in her office. Whereupon, each and all of said persons so elected shall be inducted into the respective office to ahich they have been elected. SECTION 8. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original ~2_ 1 Resolutions of sald City; and shall make a minute of the passage and z adoptlon thexeof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of 3 said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and 4 adopted. 5 PASSED, APPROVID AND ADOPTED this 12th day of March, 1974. 6 7 Norman L.
