appointing a member to the Solid Waste Management Advisory Committee and
2 concurring,with the Board of Supervisors! action to meet the requirements
of $enate ~ill 5(Chapt. 342, Title 7-3, Section 66700, Solid Waste
3 Management and Resource Recovery).
4 WHEREAS, passage of Senate'Bill 5 requires that each county submit a
Solid Naste Management Plan to the 3tate So1id Waste Management Board by
5 January 1, 1976; and,
6 WHEREAS, 51% of the cities representing 51% of the population of the
incorporated area of the County must concur with the Plan; and,

WHEREAS,.the Southern California Association of Governments must
g review the plans before submission to the State ~oard; and,
g WHII2EAS, funds have been budgeted by the ~oard of Supervisors to
employ a qualified consultant to prepare the Plan; and,

WHEFtEAS, the City of Lake Elsinore has been requested Co appoint a
11 repreaentative to the Solid Waste Management Advisory Committee, Now
therefore,

Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Lake Elsinore,
13 Cali£ornia as follows:
14 1. That Frank L. DePasquale, Councilman is hereby appointed as
representative of the City of Lake Elsinore to serve on the Solid Waste
15 Management Advisory Committee.
16 2. That F. G. (Cy) Perkins, Councilman is hereby appointed as
alternate representative of the City of Lake Elsinore to serve on the
17 Solid Waste Management Advisory Committee fn the absence of the duly
appointed City representative.

3. That the City of Lake Elsinore concurs with tHe Soard of
19 Supervisors' action to meet the requirements of 3enate Bill 5 and the
County's need for a comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan.
