RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LAKE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA,.SIGNIFYING ITS
INtENTION TO SUBMIT A CLAIM FOR FUNDS UNDER
THE TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1971
AND AUTHORTZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO
COMPLETE ALL DOCUMENTS TO SUPPORT CLAIMS
FOR FUNDS.
WHEREAS, a State Program for local transportation im-
provement funds known as tf~e~Transportation Development Act of 1971,
Chapter 1400, Statutes 1971 (SB 325, 1971) is being implemented in
Riverside County under the review of the Southern California Associ-
ation of Governments;
WHEREAS, the Riverside County allocation has been
apportioned to provide local transportation funds to tfie City of
Lake Elsinore for Fiscal.Year 1979-1980 in the amount of $37,790
and
WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elsinore F~as substantial need
fbr tfiese funds for the planning and demonstration of a local trans-
portation system;
NOW~, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Lake
: Eisinore will actively participate in the program, and request, in
~ accordanee with Chapter 1400, Statutes of 1971, and applicable Rules

and Regulations, the payment of funds by the Riverside County Auditor
with approval by the Southern California Association of Governments;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council, City of
Lake Elsinore, authorizes the Finance Director to act as representa-
tive for the City in completing all documents in support of claims
for the $37,790 to 6e used under Article 8(local.streets and roads)
of tf~e Transportation Development Act of 1971.
