HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Reso No 1979-35RESOLUTION NO. 79-35 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 a 9 1~', 11 12 13 14 1~ 16 17 1$ 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA, CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, APRIL 8, 1980, FOR THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN OFFICERS OF SAID CITY AS REQUIRED BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATING TO GENERAL LAW CITIES. WHEREAS, under the provisions of the laws relating to General Law Cities in the State of California, a regular general municipal election shall be held ~ on April 8, 1980, for the election of three (3) Members of the City Council of ~~. said City for the full term of four years, and City Treasurer of said City . for the full term of four years; . . NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That pursuant to the requirements of the laws of the State of California relating to General Law Cities within said State, there shall be, and there is hereby called.and ordered, held in the City of Lake Elsinore, California on Tuesday, April 8, 1980, a regular municipal election of the qualified electors of said City for the purpose of electing three (3) Members of the City Council of said City for the full term of four years; and a City Treasurer of said City for the full term of four years. SECTION 2. That the ballots to be used at said election shall be, both as to form and matter contained threin, such as may be required by law to be used thereat. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of said City is hereby authorized,.. instructed and directed to procure and furnish any and all official ballots, notices, printed matter and all supplies, equipment and paraphernalia that may be necessary in order to properly and lawfully conduct said election. SECTION 4. That the polls for said election shall be open at seven o'cl~ a.m. of the day of said election and shall remain open continuously from said time until 7 o'clock p.m. of the same day when said polls shall be closed, except as provided in Section 14301 of the Elections Code of the State of California. SECTION 5. That in all particulars not recited in this Resolution, said election shall be held and conducted as provided by law for holding municipal elections in said City. SECTION 6. 'That notice of the time and place of holding said election is hereby given and the City Clerk is hereby authorized, instructed and directed to give such further or additional notice of said election, in time, form and manner as required by law. 29 SECTION 7. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption 30 of this Resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original Resolutions of 31 Ithe City; and shall make a minute of passage and adoption thereof in the records ~of the proceedings oE the City Council of said City,~in the minutes of the 32 meeting ak wh-ich the 5ame is passed and adopted.
