Home My WebLink AboutCC Reso No 1987-48RESOLUTION N0. 87- 48 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA, REVISING RATES AND I~i CHARGES FOR COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF REFUSE. , II lsirrore coordinates refuse collection and I of Lake E The Cit WHEREAS, Y , disposal service for its citizens through a private contractor; and, II ~ II I , WHEREAS, the rates and charges for said service are set by a resolution of I the City Council pursuant to Section 8.16.230 of the Lake Elsinore Municipal Code; and, i I WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the current rates and charges for said service as set forth in Resolution No. 86-85 in order to allow for an increase in Franchise fees paid by said contractor to cover City costs related to the providing of said service. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lake Elsinore as follows: 1. That the revised charges to be levied customers of the refuse ~~ ~~ collection service shall be those charges set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof. 2, That said charges shall become effective September 1, 1987. 3. That said effectivity date is more than thirty (30) days from the date of this resolution as required by Section 8.16.230 of the Lake Elsinore Municipal Code. 4. That Resolution No. 86-85 is hereby repealed effective September 1, 1987. i i 5. That after public notice and hearing as required by Government Code ~ Section 54354.5, the City Council finds and determines that the ~ i, proposed rates, charges and penalties are not discriminatory or excessive, and will be sufficient under Government Code Section 54515, and will comply with the outstanding revenue bonds payable from the revenues of garbage and waste collection. Direct Charae of Duma Fees il 1.
