Home My WebLink AboutCC Reso No 1987-38RESOLUTION N0. 87-38 ' A RE50LUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE ESTABLISHING PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON CERTAIN STREETS ' AND PUBLIC PARKING LOTS ' WHEREAS, Section 10.40.020 of the Municipal Code provides for the esta- , blishment of parking restrictions by resolution of the City Council; and, ' WHEREAS, Section 10.40.090 of said code provides for such restrictions in i public parking lots; and, WHEREAS, it has been determined that the establishment of such restrictions on certain streets or public parking lots or portions thereof, is necessary to promote the proper and intended use of said parking facilities. I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lake , Elsinore hereby establishes certain parking restrictions as follows: ' 1. Fifteen Minute Limit - Whenever signs are erected giving notice , thereof, parking shall be limited to fifteen minutes between the ~ hours of eight (8) a.m. and six (6) p.m. of any day, except Sundays I and holidays upon any of the streets or portions thereof listed as I follows: ' Side of Name of Street Street Limits Where Parkin Limited to 15 Minutes - - Main Street Easterly In front of City Hall 44 feet long Peck Street Easterly From Main Street east 22 feet I r 47 feet Graham Avenue Southerly In front of mortua y 2. Two-Hour Limit - Whenever signs are erected giving notice thereof, parking shall be limited to two hours between the hours of eight (8) a.m., and six (6) p.m. of any day, except Sundays and holidays upon any of the streets or portions thereof listed as follows: I , Side of Name of Street 5treet Limits Where Parkin Limited to 2 Hours - - Graham Street Both From Spring Street easterly to a point I two hundred fifty feet (250') east of Main Street ' ; Peck Street Both From Spring Street to a point one hundred ', fifty feet (150') east of Main Street. Emplo.vee Parkina Lot - Public Parking Lot reserved for Employees of II the City of Lake Elsinore: ' A. Any person permanently or temporarily employed by the City of , i Lake Elsinore may park their mode of transportation to work I within the set perimeters of the City parking area so designated - to be one hundred feet (100') westerly of the intersection of Main Street and Sulphur. Said vehicles may be parked within ' this lot for a period not to exceed a twenty-four (24) hour I employment period on a Monday through Friday calendar day basis. ', B. No said vehicle owned or operated by any City employee shall be parked within the designated facility longer than a forty-eight I, (48) hour work period beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 5:00 I ~ ~ p.m. on weekdays inclusively. Al1 overnight parking will be prohibited on weekends and holidays. , C. Parking in said employee parking lot shall be by permit only. Parking permits shall be issued to City employees for this , purpose. Said permits shall be displayed in a visible place in ~ or on the employee's vehicle. Any vehicle parked in said ~ employee parking lot without a parking permit so displayed shall be subject to a citation. D. The Director of Public Services is directed to place and main- tain signs giving notice that parking in said parking lot is restricted to City employees. ' E. The City does hereby restrict the type, class and weight of all vehicles parked within the subject parking facility to the recognized State of California Motor Vehicles registration entitlement of Class 3. This facility shall not permit the parking of boats, motorhomes, trailers, nor trucks over one-ton capacity on the premises. _ F. The City will not be held responsible, nor deemed liable, for any personal or vehicle accidents, injuries, vandalism, theft, ' and general conflicts resulting from the normal use of this I Resolution No. 87-38 Page 3 facility during any time period that the lot is accessible by the public or City employees.
