RESOLUTION NO 88-48
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA APPROVING
THE AGREEMENT FOR FUNDING UNDER THE CALIFORNIA
ENERGY COMMISSION'S GEOTHERMAL GRANT AND LOAN PROGRAM

WHEREAS, geothermal energy ~s ~nd~genous to the C~ty of Lake
Els~nore area and ~ts careful development may prov~de benef~ts to the
local commun~ty
WHEREAS, funds are ava~lable from the Cal~forn~a Energy
Comm~ss~on through the~r Geothermal Grant and Loan Program for local
Jur~sd~ct~on for geothermal plann~ng and development act~v~t~es and
WHEREAS, funds have hereto fore been granted for the Lake
Els~nore Geothermal Development Program Phase I and Phase II and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the C~ty Counc~l of the
C~ty of Lake Els~nore hereby approved the agreement w~th the
Cal~forn~a Energy Comm~ss~on for a fund~ng augmentat~on award, and
hereby author~zes the Mayor to execute sa~d agreement and further
author~zes the D~rector of Publ~c Serv~ces to be the C~ty's ProJect
Manager for the sa~d geothermal program
The C~ty of Lake Els~nore agrees the cont~ngent award ~s
subJect to repayment ~f the proJect ~s completed, tested, and beg~ns
operat~on If th~s occurs, the C~ty of Lake Els~nore w~ll make
spec~f~ed m~n~mum payments from the revenue and/or energy sav~ngs that
w~ll result from the proJect The loan pr~nc~pal and repayment
schedule w~ll be determ~ned by the Comm~ss~on
