were found to be present: E. A. Bacon, L. B. Taylpr;an:d J~. }h.;,_Be~.l.e.:;
Absent: C. F. Bair and .Amelia P. Reed,
_ kdhereupon the _following proceedings were had to-wit:
.A petition to the Beard requesting that a permit be granted to
George H. Morton to remove .two pepper trees,from,.in front of Lot _1 ,and 2_in
Block E, Jones Addition was then presented to the Board; and* ~7zon;;due_ cori=

It was moved by Trustse J. H. Boll end accord ed.by Trustse
E. A. Bacon that Mr. Geo. H. Morton be allowed to remove the two pepper
trace in front of Lots land 2 in Block E, Jones Addition and the Clerk
be instructed to issue Mr. Morton a permit therefor.
Motion duly carried.
A discussion was then had on the matter of lowering sidewalk to
grade on the East side of Main St, in front of Lots 1 and 2 in Block E, Jones
Addition being the property of Mr. Geo. H. Morton.
Upon due consideration it was moved by Trustse E. A. Bacon and
seconded by Trustee J.H. Bell that-Mr. Geo. H. Morton be granted a permit.
to lower the walk to grade in front of Lots 1 and 2 in Block E of Jones
Addition. and to bring in curb line 5-feet providing,that all expense of
eaid work including pnving of street be paid for by Mr, Morton and that said
work be done under the aiperviaion of the City Engineer.
Upon vote motion unanimously carried.
Whereupon it was moved by Trustee E. A. Bacon and seconded
by L. B. Taylor with Trustse J. H. Bell in the chair, that Trustse J. H.
Bell and City, Clerk C. J. Kalina be appointed as a purchasing committee
and that. all requisitions for purchaeea for the city. be passed on by both
members of the Comraittee and that no bills. be paid without the O.K. of both
members of said purchasing committee.
Upon vote motion. carried.
Thereupon there being no further business requiring. the immediate
attention of the Board,. on motion duly made and carried the Board adjourned to meet
in regular session on Monday Oct. 19th, 1925 at the hour of 7'30 p.m, in the City
Hall, t/h~e usual meeting place. ~ .
