Trustee Graham then called to the Board's attention tint some
action should be taken to provide. for -life salting equipment at'th: Lake
Shore .resorts and camp grounds and-after due consideration of the matter<it
was mooed-by .Trustee:Graham-rand-seconded-liy Trustee Sell-:.that:the elemk be
instructed to notify the City Attorney to prepare an Ordinance providing
fare" the maintenance of suds ife,saving equipment at all of t he'.Lake Shore
resortsJavhere: boars, and bathing suits were rezrted-:which motiom was carried
by the following vote:

ing of the bids received fa-the improvement of Pottery Street that the bid
of Sully Miller 8antracting Co. was X54,567;46 and that of the Hall Johnson
Construction Go. X55,150.55, making Sully ,filler Co. the losest responsible

whereupon reSolution~l78 being a. resolution of the,Bpard of
Trustees providing for. the awarding of contract for the improvement of
Pgtterp;:St..to he ,Sully: Miller;:Cq. was;then;presented to the ;Board and
on motion of Trustee Taylor and seconded by Trustee.;Bell, Resolution #178
was passed and adopted by the Following vote. _ _

Thereupon it ryas moved by Trustee Graham and•se,conded:by::;Truste,e.:'
Taylor: that the.elerk be!inetrueted to, write to: Mr. Az-thur.Anderson informing
him that Railroad Avenue being outside of the City limits, the B~ rd would
have no jurisdiction in renaming said-street,. however, that. hs Board was
favorable to.and would, approve any such.aetion.taken by.tle County Board
of Supervisors,.which .notion. upon. vote. was.carriad.

that the resignation-of Night Police w.:R.•west be :accepted: Upon vote motion

Taylor,~khat;:Thos. lutton be appointed. Night. Police, hs;fieftr nib his own
motorcycle. for.,said;mgrk, and,the.city.to.furnish .all>;gas•sndoil and his
salary-to be fixed at $150,o0.per.month,.which.motion was carried by the
