A regular meeting of the Board ~' Trustees of the City of E]sinore
was heldon the;-above date. The r,~eting was called. to order:'.at tYe hoar

answered the roll call. , .,;

The minutes of the previous meetings not b sing prepared, were
passed for reading at the next regular m=.eting of the Board.
The resignation of J. A9. Boyles, Chie$ of ,Police ,was,..,then presented
to the Board. ... ,,
whereupon on motion of Trustee Graham ;andsecord ed,_by Trustee Bell,
and upon vote carried the resigmti on of J. w. Boyles, Chief of Police was
accepted; to take ,ef,fect at once. -,
The applications of w. R. west, Thos. Cornell, N:. G. Nettleton
and wm, Frank for, the:poaitions of Chief .:and :Might Police ~rere then presented
to-the ;Board and duly considered.
whereupon it was moved by Trustee Taylor and seconded by Trustee
Bell that,?k~m, Srank be.-appointed,to the ,position„of Chief of:?Police .and
w. A. west: as Night Police, the salary ofi each to be, fixed-at;,~125.00 ;:per
month, which motion was carried by the following vote. .

Noes:. ;None.
Absent:-,;-Truatee,Everett.
-, The ,Clerk then read a communication to, the Board from City attorney
Best., setting out. his legal opinion wish-reference to certain mining claims
of; J. ,H. Wrench located on Hill-sand Pottery Streets.
whereupon it was duly moved .and carried that Attorney Best's
letters be filed and that the Board's action in the matter be according to
the opinion of the ;FAttorney.
The Board then considered t he matter of executing contract covering

the sale of garbage for the miming 3'nar. ,
whereupon it was moved by Trustee Taylor and ~eorxied by Trustee
~ Graham that the clerk be instructed to publish a notice inviting bids for
Eity garbage, to be opened. and considered by the Board on July ljth.
Upon vote motion carried.
Mr. Baker, engineer, representing the Byron Jackson Pump Co, then
appeared before the Board and presented a detailed plan suggesting certain,.
changes and installations in the water plant equipment with view of reducing
power costs.
Wher-capon after-due consideration of the :matter, 'it-was`moved'
by Trustee Graham and seconded bq Trustee Bell that it be authorized to=
execute a contract. with, the Byron Jack son. Pump Co, covering the purchase of
a pump arid'booster 'as recommehded' in Air, Bakers -plan-; "vd'iieh motion was
carried by the following vote. •-

Thereupon it was moved by Trustee Taylor and seconded by Trustee
`' Graham that 8. D.--Robinson,=Gity Park Caretaker be-authorized'-to purchase
100 feet of garden hose for the City Park.

Fire Chief Boyle then appeared before the Board and,requested.that
authorization be made for the installation of a shower bath at the Fire Hall.

Graham and on vote carried, it was duly•authvtazed that the'Fire Department,-
have. installed a shower bath at the Fire Station;
Zn the absence of Trustee Everett of the Auditing Committee''-
the'ehairappointed Trustee -Taylor oserve-upon-said Committee to'audit-

to the. Board and on motion duly made and on•call vote carried., were ordered
paid and the clerk was instructed to issue`warrants?'iri payment of same.
Thereupon there being-no further"business to Dams before the
= Board', on motion"duly made'snd carried, the. Board adjourned ao meet in -
regular session on VPednesday, June'29th at the hour!bf 9 a.m. in-the City
Hall, the usual meeting place,
