The meeting.raas .called to order at the hour of 9 a.m, with-President li. G,,Keck,in she chair. „ Trustees L. B. Taylor, P. C,'Graham, A. G. Keck, J. H. Be11 and Y~. h. A communication from G. R. Gough, President of the First Idatibnal Bank to the Board of Trustees sui~raitting lease terms on the old bank building fora city, hall vras $hen read by the clerk and. upon due consideration of the matter it vPas moved by Trustee Taylor ,and seconded by f^rustee Everatw Ghat the chair be authorized to execute a lease on the old bank building for a term cf one year beginning Jan. 1,: 192 at :a rental o£ 925.00' per montl^. for the first three months; X50.00 per month for ~ihe next three.:months, ~(~5.Q0 per month for the next three months and X100,00 per month for the last three months making a total rental for the year of 9r~50,00 as per lease terms, sub- I miffed to the Board, vrhich motion v,as carried by the follocring vote. Ayes: Trustees Taylor, Graham, Keck, Bell and Everett.. Noes: .None... Absent: None. Several letters of endorsement of H. R. Vaughn fcr the position of ..night police v~ere then read ,by the clerk. Whereupon it ivas moved by Trustee Everett and.seconded by Trustee Bell thatcsaid letters be laid on the table and that .the Board adjourn later in .the meeting for a 30 minute recess to consider the police situatson at a private session. Upon vote motion carried. FJith reference to the vaster bill ordered presented tc the Catholic Church-for past tv~o years' service upon satisfactory explanation by H. Gallagher representing the Church that a former Board had granted them the .free, use of vrater and said grant never having been revoked, it was moved by Trustee Taylor and seconded by Trustee Bell that the bill to Catholic .Church for past vaster service be canceled. j _.Upon,vote mctioncarried, Thereupon it eras moved by Trustee Taylor and seconded by Trustee Bell that Pottery Street betvacen Plain St. and Spring St.,be includsd in the proposed improvement district, After considerable discussion of the matter by the Board, Trustees Taylor and Bell withdreva their motion, "Page ~Z Meeting of January 19. X927• In anticipation of considerable opposition to the iunprovement of Riey Street on account of'the cost of"therequired "fill to be made on said etreet, the chair appointed Trustees Taylor and C~aham to ascertain from otaners fronting on se:d fill if they vrould-assume the cost, of said tirork. Bi11s as audited by 'the Auditing Coiamittee +.~rere then presented to the Board a.nd on mction duly made and on call vote carried usero ordered paid anii the Clerk eras instructed to issue ~arraYzty in payment of same.
