The Clerk then presented to Council a cot~snLmication from Claude =`Fisher Contractor, reeeved in reply-to a Getter foxvrarded to him by the -Clerk advising him of the present condition-of the high ureter reservoir • -which ze conetructed and': asking him if he vaould not agree to ta':e crre of the necessary repairs on same, and in vrhich he stated t'n_at Ire could not assume any responsibility for the present condition of the reservoir and therefore vaould not agree to do any repair ~°fcrk on same. _ ._, _:,. On motion duly made,and carried the_communcaton eras received and ordered ulaced on file, The Clerk. then presented to Council a. cormnunica-tion from D. C. Rhodes of the So. Calif. Auto Club sign dept. in v;hic?; he advised that the}~ vaould take care of i,hc i:,la.cing of boulevard stops signs to conform with the City Orditlance a.s soon as it was possible. Gdlxereupon it v.~as duly moved and carried that said cormnunication be received and ordered placed on file. the Clerk then presented to Council the tvrittc.n application of Richard R R:.nor for the position of city irolice officer :7lxereupon it tivas moved by Councilman Langstaff and seconded by Councilman 4lesner that the a.pplicaticn of Fir. Renor for position of police officer be placed on file, for furtA,er consideration which motion upon vote was carried. Councilman I~Iaes then reported that the Elsinore Yacht Club vas planning on holding a street dance or. Sat. Eve Dec, with for the benefit of visitors in -the Cit- for t'r~e boat races and that he was e.si:ed to present their request to Council for penissicn tc use one block en Fa:ain St. bstcreen Grahnsn r1ve, fc Pe.ckut. for Chia d nce. thereupon it vra:s irovEd by v'ouncilmanMesner and seconded by Councilman Langstaff that the Ii$sinore Yacht Club be granted permission tc use Lain St. bet;~•een Gr~~haan ~.ve, and Pock St. for a street dance-c;hich motion a nor. vote ~.;as carried.
