A regular meeting of the City Council of 't he City of Elsinore was held on

Councilmen H.. Gallagher, L, n, F, kfaes; H. 0. Langstaff and A. G. ?peck
answered the roll ca.l7...
Absent: Councilman u~esner.
Ir'tinutes of the previous meeting held on Sept. 1']th were then read by the
Clerk and on mot:-on duly space and carried were approved as read.
A report from Chief of Police R. S". Ferrel]. for pericd fror,. Juiy 2nd to
Sept 23rd ca as then presented to Council and on motion duly made and carried was
accepted and ordered laced on file.
^1he Cleric than presented to Council a financial report shoraing balance in
Bank as of Sept. 24th and iter.^.i^ed as to balancers in the varicus city funds as sell
a-s statement shovring receipts and disburssments~faomaldst audit to date, which report on
motion duly spade and carried was accepted and ordered filed.
The Clerk then presented to Council the City Engineers smitten reports on
the Smith's Addition petition for sevrer improvements and the condition of the outfall
sewer line.
Thereupon after due consideraticn of the matters presented by the City En-
gineer it eras moved by Councilman Langstaff and seconded by Council:pan P,?acs that thc~
City Engineer ba instructed and authorized to males a preliminary survey cf sewer levels
with the view of ascertaining r;hether or not it is frasible to install a gravity eut-
fa11 sewer line in the city ~=rhich moticn eras carried by the follovaing vote;
Ayes: Councilmen Gallagher, Langstaff, lv`aes, a.nd Yeck.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman l`(esner.
Thereupon it was duly moved and carried that the Engineers report on Petition
For sewer in Smith's Addition be accepted and ordered placed on file.
Councilman ~?acs then reported to Council that he consulted iri-th Engineer
Porter H. A1lbright of Los Angeles +;¢ith reference to securing the 'services cf a hy-
draulic engineer to make an investigation of 'the ccndition of the high ;;•atar reser-
voir and report on werlc necessary to repair same and stated t'.~iat he was advis:;d by
Mr. Albrigizt that he would furnish a hydraulic sngineer.tc do this ~zorY, en the basis of
~25.CO for one day's inspection of the reservoir and not to exceed 1;:250.00 for all
engineering work necessary iP repair bras made.
"dhereupon it was moved by Councilman Leng-ta'_'f and seconded by Councilman
Gallagher that D;?r, Albright's propositior. to make a tyro day investigation of the ori-
ginal plans and of the reservoir at a cost not to exceed X50.00 be accepted and that the.
Clerk be instructed to forvrard him a set of the original plans and notify him of
Councils acceptance of his proposition, with request that he ~ve9-the matter za.rl.i.est
possible attention, which motion was carried by the folJ.ovring vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gallagher, Lai:gsta~f; P.?acs, and r:eck.
Aroes: None.
Absent: I:?. H. 57esner.
Thereupon it vaas moved by Councilman P.Saes and seconded by Councilman Langstaff
that the City Engineer ba instructed to *arorle i^.ith the hydraulic engineer on the in-
spection of the high water reservoir irhich motion upon vote was carried.

have street light on Spring St. in front cf his property connected

the cost of 'the work, and requested Council to allovi same.-'

Thereupon there being no further business tc come before
Counc i. on `motion duly made and carried Council adjourned to inset in
regular session on onday Cct. Ist at the hour of 7 p. in. in-the City .
