The letter ras read bgr•the Clerk and on motion duly roads and carried was ordered placed or- fi.Ie. Thereupon it was rjovod by Ccuncilman Gallagher and seconded by Councilman Langstaff that resolution 7201 being a Resolution in the matter of the application of the So. Calif. Gas Co. for a. franchise and aeclering that it is proposed to grant said franchise and privi- lege, be passed and adcpted ~rhich motion c~as carried by the fallowing Vote: - Ayes: Councilmen Gallagher, Langstaff,-Tll~ies, and 1Seck. Noes: PTone. .ibsent: Ccuncilman ivesner. Pione, .Absent: Councilman ~/esner. . ~ ...Council then.diseussed with tiie City 3ngineer the matter of sewer manhole on Aaa1d-Ave. filling up andinterfering with the proper drainage, the Engineer suggesting the installation of a cenrecting sewer line between Spring St. and the trunk line on Sumner Ave, which would care fcr a large part of-sewage now depositing in manhole on Hs-ald Ave. ~Ihereupon it wasmoved by Ccuncilman Langstaff seconded by Councilman Gallagher that i:he City );ngineer be instructed -to check the cost of laying proposec' sewer extensicn with the Su11y I~i'iler Con- tracting Coy and to §Sake report of same to the Council 4~hich motion upon vote was unanimously carried The Bldg. Crouch yeas then presented to Council in .which he reported that-in the case of J. F. Council then discussed the matter of rolaying.the cid eater fiine on Peck and i:ellogg Sts. taJhereunon it was moved by Councilman Llass and seconded by Councilman Gallagher that Pd. Harman water S:ipt, be authorised to pur- chase wat^r pipe necessary to relay lines on Peck and Kellogg"Sts., which motion upon vote was carried by the fo1loL,ing vote: Ayes: Councilmen Gallagher, Langstaff, Pdaes, and Kec?:. Noes: None. Absent.
