REGULAR MEETING ~F THE CITY COUNCIL
June 11, 1928,
A segixlar meeting of the City Council of<the City of Elsinore,
was held on the above dates he meeting=was cal-led: to order at'the Hour
of T p.m.: with Mayor A. Gr Keck in the.bhair, ,
Councilman H. Gallagher, L. A. F. Maes and A. G. Keck answered

Minutes;.of the: previous meetingrheld on June 4th, were then
read by the clerk and on motion duly made-.and carried, were approved as read.
Auditor R. L. McCrea's report on audit made 'of the City!s accounts and
records for the period from March 25th, 192.5 to May.-25th, 1928 was then handed
to Councilman L. A. F. Maea, chairman of the Finance Committee, who thereupon
presented thei•aport to:the City'Gouncil,=seine being read-and duly considered.

Gallagher, that Auditor. McCrea's report on audit o8. the Cfty.'s-accounts and
records be accepted and approved a~td ordered filed, which motion upon roll

Thereupon itwas mooed by Councilman Maes and. seconded by Counci~ma:i
Gallagher that the clerk be i:natructed to notifg the "City-Treasurer:that in the
future'she keep a]a:of the City..' records at the-City Hilly which motion was
carried by the following'vote:

Thereupon M. H. Wexner, who was duly appointed Councilman to fill

-sworn by the clerk,: thereafter being granted a!leabe of absence: by. the

Bills as audited by the auditing committee were then Presented
to the Council and on: motion duly:made.and'on call vote'-carried, were
-'ordered paid and-the clerk was instructed to issue-warrants in payment of same,
Thereupon there being no further business to come beforeahe
Council on motion duly. made and carried, Council adjourned to meet in regular
' session on-Monday,''June 18th at the hour of 7 p.m:'in the Clay Hall, the usual
meeting place.

A regular nesting of the City bouncil of the City ,of Elsinore
was held on the above date. The meting was called to order at the .hour
of 7 p.m. with Mayor A. G. Keck in the chair:

Minutes of the previoca meeting held on June 11th were then read
by the clerk and on motion duly made and carried, were approved as, read:
The :clerk thou reported to Council`that,l0-day notice to pay
up had been mailed to all delinquents for city license to which a large
majority had responded, but a few still remainod unpaid at the expiration
of the 10 day period and asked to be advised as to what action shoihd be
taken:
9hereupon it was moved by Councilman Langstaff and. seconded by
Councilm~ Gallagher that the matter be referred to City Attorney Eugene
Best with instruction that he proceed to file legal action against those
still delinquent for City License, and that he be authorized tc do so ac-
cording to his best judgment, which motion ivas carried by the following
vote: ,
Ayes: Bouncilman Gallagher, Langstaff, Maes snd Keck:
Noes: None:
Absent: Councilman Wesner:
Councilman Maea then called to Counci.l's attention that a g~eat
many stray and unlicensed dog s were running. at large about the ci{y, and
recomme~lded that some action shou]d be taken on the matter:
Whereupon after a check of the City's dog license ordinance
and due consideration of the matter, it was moved by Councilman Maes, and
seconded by Councilman Langstaff that the Chief of Police be instructed
to see to it that aTl stray and unlicensed dogs running at large be caught
and if owner cannot be fou~hd or license paid then said dogs are to be
~ killed, -further that the Chief of Police be authorized to hire a dog
catcher to be paid at the rate of $I,00 per head for ea3i,dog picked up,
which motion upon roll call was carried by the following note:
Ayes: Councilmen Gallagher, Maes, Langstaff and Beck,
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman M. H. 99eaner:
Thereupon, Council took up for considerati on power rates charged
by the Southern Sierras Power Company for ..power used at the-City Pumping
Plant and after due consideration of the matter, it was moved by Council-
man Gallagher and seconded by Councilman Langstaff that the chair appoint
a committee to investigate the power rates charged, with the Railroad Com-
mission which motion was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Couna:lmarl Gallagher, Langstaff, Maes and Keck.

Thereupon, there being no further business to come before the
