of Elsinore was held.,on the above date. The meeting wasica3led to order
at the hour of ~ p.m. with Mayor A. G. Keck in the chair.
Councilmen H. Gallagher, H. 0. Langstaff, L. A. F. Mass and A. G.
Keck answered the roll calls
Absent: M. H. Weanar, not qualified;
Minutes of the previous meeting held on May 14th were then
read by the clerk and on motion duly made and carried, were approved
as read;
A communication from the State Board of Public Works with en-
closure of Queationaire, regarding to the construction of any-dams in our
vicinity, was theft presented to the Council a1d on motion duly made and
carried, was ordered received and the clerk was instructed to foravard
a reply to same.
The hour of ~ p.m, having arrived, being the time .fixed for
hearing of protests to the improvement of Prospect Street, particularly
described in Resolution #194 adopted May 2nd, 1926, and the-plans aid
specifications therein referred to, the clerk reported that but one written pre-
test had bean filed, which waa p^eaented to the Council and the Mayor there-
upon called upon aiy other persons desiring to be heard and none answered..
whereupon it was. moved by Councilman Gallagher and seconded
by Councilman Maes that a hearing having_.been had. and all objections
duly considered, therefore it be resolved that all protests with re-
lation to Resolution of Intention X194 be and are hereby overruled and
denied, which motion-was carried by the following vote.

Noes: Councilman H. 0. Langstaff:
Thereu~;on the clerk presented to Council Resolution X195 being
a resolution of the City Council ordering the improvement of" Prospect Street,
being. that certain work of improvement described in a resolution of intention
#194 adopted May 2, 1928:
whereupon it was moved by Councilman Gallagher and seconded
by Councilman Mass that Resolution X195 be passed and adopted, which motion was
carried by the following note,

approval and acceptanoe.
~ Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Langstaff`and aeconded.by
Councilmen Gallagher that Maps of Sedco Tract #59 be approved, and accepted,
which motion upon-vote was carried,
City Engineer Glenn Graham's detailed report on the City water
~~` system was .then snbmitted to co.unoil and ordered read try the clerk.. ,.
Whereupon it was moved by Councilmen Macs and seconded bq Council-
man. Langstaff that the City Enginoer's repot on the water .system just read,
be accepted and.that.matters concerning the-water syst® be-laid over for
further consideration whidi motion carried by the following"vote::

Noes: None,
The clerk then presented to the Council bids received fxrom Southern
California Fence Gompany and Barry Bayliea Incorporated, quoted on 400
feet of-wire. fencing as follows:
Southern California Fence Co. Bid X639;00 installed compleia
Larry Bayliss Co. Bid ~§54.07 material only
fco.b< Los ~Sngeles.
Whereupon it was duly moved and carried that the matter cf fencing
the water plant property be laid over for further consideration;
The c1erY, than submitted to the Council a report on the outstand-
ing delinquent accounts for water rent, busissss licenses and house-connect-
on~ and upon discussion and ds consideration of the matter, it was moved
by Councilman Langstaff and seconded by Councilman Gallagher that alll delin-
-quenta be given a ten day notice to pay up and if not paid that ]e gal
action vaill be instituted for the @ollection of the account, whidi motion
- upon vote was unanimously carried.
Councilman H. 0, Langstaff then reported to the Council that he .
was leaving the city for about a 30 day business trip, a1d asked that he
be granted a 30-day leave of absence from Council meetings.
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Maea and seconded by Council=
man Gallagher that Councilman Langstaff be granted a 30 day leave of ab-
Bence which motion upon vote was carried.

Thereupon on motion of cb u~eilman Gallagher and seconded
by Councilman Langstaff and on vote carried, it was ordered that the
clerk be instructed to notify the, Southern Sierras Power Go. to install
2 additional bracket'~street lights ons'e't the c.`orner of,"Spring and
F2i:nt; anil'the other at Ppa" and, Poittb'x`~r. '

M. Harmon, .Water. ,Superintendent then reported to Council that Mr. Hohenshell

wished to 6gty"about 500 feet of old pipe from the Cia'y and asked that Council fix

Councilman Maea that 500 feet of 3" old pipe be sold to Mr. Hohenshell at 5

Bills as audited yy the Auditing Committee were then presented to
the`Couricil arl on notion ~1y made"and on'call vote carried, were ordered paid
and'the clerk was 'instructed to issue warrants in payment`of same.
Thereupon, there being no further business to come before the Council
