A Regular meeting. of the City Council of the City of Elsinore
was held on the above dste. The meeting was called to order at the
hour of 9 a.ms°with Mayor"A. G. Keck in the chair.
Councilmen F1. .Gallagher; H. 0. Langstaff, L:A.F.Maes
and A."G. Keck answered the roll call.
9bsent: Councilman M. H. Werner not qualified account sickness.
Minutes of the previous meeting held on April 25th were
then read by the clerk and on motion dulp made and carried, were approved
as read.
The clerk then presented to the Council a communication
From. the Southern Sierras Power Co. submitting their annual report on
franhisa tax due the City for the year of 1927, with enclosure of
check in the sum of $136.03 to cover amount due.
Whereupon it was duly moved anal carried that said communi-
cation be°accepted and ordered filed.
Council then took up for consideration City Ordinance 161
providing for the. licensing of businesses and the W llectiott of said
license-fees; it being reported that there were a-number of delinquents
who refused to pay;
'Ahereupon it was moved by Counciaman Macs"and seconded by
Councilman Langstaff that said Ordinance be enforced and that Chief
of Police Ferrell. be instructed to collect all delinquent license
fees and if not paid, to file complaints against all violators of the
City Ordinance, whidz, motion carried by the following vote.
Ay ea: Councilmen Gallagher, Langstaff, Maes and Kede,
Noes: None.
W. T. Moxley then appeared before Council and reported that the new
City water line was laid to within 500 feet of his pepper grove property, that.
he would like to connect with the City water and requested that the City
extend the present pipe line to his property so that he might connect with same

(erred to the Water Committee for investigation.
Council thai entored into a general discussion regarding to
the present water system and its operation, and a,number of proposed
' changes were suggested with the view of reducing pumpf,:hg casts-without ef=
fecting the standard of service.
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Lm~gstaff and .seconded by
Councilman Gallagher that. the matter. be referred to the City. Engineer
with instructions that he make s general survey of the City water system and

The clerk then presented to ;the Council the Treasurers-monthly Yeport
showing the present balances in-the City's fund, which on motion duly made
and earried~was''accepted and-ordered filed.
Councilman Langstaff then brought up for consideration the matter of

The clerk thel preaented.to:the' CoUncil~the'monthly,-report of the
Building Inspector which on motion duly made and carried, was accepted and
ordered,~filed;
Councilman Galaagher'then reported that=the covers on some oY'the
valve and meter boxes in the walks on Main Street were in bad condition and
dangerous: The matter was ordered referred-to:-the street committee fa'
attention.::
Ordinance #195 being an Ordinance providing for a change in the time'- ++
of holding Council Meetings was than presented to the Couna.l for adop~Cion
on second reading.

Langstaff that Ordinance #195 be passed and-adopted which mbton;carried,by
the following vote.
Ayes: Councilmen Gallagher, Maes, Langstaff and Keck;
Nasa: Nona.
City ~ ngineer Glenn Graham then ps•esented far Council's approval
the proposed specifications 12A for cement concrete pavement and plans for
the improvement of Froapact Street, designated as Sheets 1 and 2, Plans 28,29
and 30 also map of Assessment District therefor marked "No.D Assessment
District Map of Prospect Street."

Langstaff that the Plans, Profiles and Specifications, also the Assessment
District Map "No. D" for the improvement of Prospect,Stree$ be .app roved axd
~ adopted which.motion was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gallagher, Maes, Langstaff and Keck.
Noes: None.
The Citq Clerk thereupon presented for adoption a Resolution of"
Intention-for the improvement of Prospect Stree6, covering the work described
in the Plane, Profiles and Specifications No. 12A just adopted, and for
~ assessment District Map "No. D" just adopted, which teeolution of Intentio3t

Whereupon it was moved•by,Gouncilmss Gallagher and seconded by
Nouna.lman Maea that the said Resolution of Intention #194 be and the same is
hereby-adapted.--whch,motion was carried by;the following vote:

Councilman Maea then,regcrted thathe.had:been requested py tk~ Aloha
Yacht Club to•present their appeal to Counci for;:a:contrbution.;to.;lielp.;pay for .,the
cost;:o:f,laying out an official,,race course on Lake:Elsinora:'
4fter due consideration of-the matter, it :was moved by Councilman,Maes".;and
seconded by Councilman Gallagher. that it be authorized that a contribution of
$100,00 be granted to .the ,Aloha;Yacht;;Club proyiding:;that,they would:-lay out and
establish an officially accepted course, -which motion was carried by the following. vote.

Hills as audited by the Auditing Committee were then presented tothe ;.
Council and on motion duly made and on call vote carried, were ordered paid
and the clerk was inetrueted to issue Warrants in ,payment of_same.
Thereupon there being no further bu^.iness to come before the Cauncxa
on motion duly made and carried, Council adfourned to m eet in regular session
on Wednesday, Map yth at the hour of 9 a,m. in the City Hall, the usual meeting
