Kingsbury to whiclg was attached a diagram showing a pro- posed improvement conei.sting of a the roofed parch, for the construction of._which.he was requesting.of',Council that he be granted a special permit. whereupon after due consideration of the matter"it=was moved by Councilman Langstaff and seconded by Councilman Maes thatIdr. Kingsbury be granted a special permit. to cover the proposed improvement, whidl motion carried by the following note. Ayes: Gallagher, Keck, Maes, and Langstaff: Noes: None. Ths clerk t~sen presented to Council the written resignation of F.H. Easton, Chdef of Police. whereupon it was moved by Councilman Maea and seconded by Council- man Langstaff that the resignation of F. H. Easton be accepted, to take effect on April 21st, 1928, which motion upon roll call was carried by the following vote: Ayes: Gallagher, Keck, braes and Langstaff: No as :- None. Thereupon;. the written application. of A. G. Barber for the position of Chief-of Po13ce was presented to the Council., also the application of R. w. Ferrell, previously filed was further considered, whereupon it was moved by Councilman ffiaes and seconded by Coun- cilman Langstaff that R. w. Ferrell. be appointed: to the position of Chief of Police, bo serve on trial. subject to removal at the pleasure of the Council, and that it be authorized that he be granted a salary of $150.00 per month; and that his hours for duty be left to his discretion to attain best results, which. motion upon roll call was carried by the following note: Ayes: councilmen Gallagher, Keck, bdaes and Langstaff. Noes@ 'None. Thereupon, the matter of appointment of a standing Police Committee was considered by the_Council andon motion duly made and carried, it was ordered that the chair appoint a Police Committee, _.
