Minutes oY the previous meeting held on March 28th were-when read
by the Clerk and on motion duly made,-snd carried,, were approved as ,read,
The Treasurers monthly report was then presented to, $he council
and on motion. duly made and carried, was accepted and ordered filed:

queet that she be released from said duty, stating that it was upon. the
advice of her physician tha£ she was asking to be-relieved.
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Taylor and seconded by
Councilman-Bell that .Mrs. K$rkpatrick be released Eros serving as`Judge
oh the. Election Board,, and that Mrs. Olive I. Fogle be appointed to serve
in her stead, which-motion upon vote tires unaximously carried.
Thereupon, Resolution #192 was introduced. and. read being a
Resolution of the City Council authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk
to execute a new contract with the City Engineer, Glenn Graham, providing
for an increase. in the percentage allowed on cost of improv~enta from 6~
to 8~, same to be effective from the date of Sept. 28, 1927, at which time
said increase was duly authcrized by an action of the-City Council:
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Taylor and seconded by
Councilman Bell that Resolution#192 be passed and adopted as read,
Councilman Gallagher moved to amend said Resolution to read that
original contract-with City Engineer stand :which motion received no second
f and was lost.
On call vote on original motion Resolution #192 was passed and
adopted by the following vote:
Ryes: Councilmen Taylor, Bell, Keck and Van Houten.
Noss: Councilman Gallagher:
Absent: None.
i The Committee appointed to make an investigation of the matter
regarding the deposit of cans and rubbish on the property of Mrs, tEattie
Carter, then reported that upon investigation theg have been reliably in-
formed that said rubbish was not placed on said property by employes of
the city, but by private individuals and. therefore City could not be held
E responsible for the removal of same.

'-Whereupon it was moved by Courieilman'Bell and seconded .
by Councilman Taylor that the City Attorney be°instructed=to notify
Sarau & Thompaoxi - Mrs. Carter's attorneys that the Citp employes
have not"deposited cans and rubbish apon her property and that the

motion upon vote-was'unariimously'carried •
Thereupon,. on motion of Councilman Taylor and seconded
'by`Counelman Van'Houten and on`vote earried,_t was authorized that the

Hills as audited by the Auditing Committee were then presented to •
