Whereupon-after a discuasien.oY-the: matter it ~ssa moved by Councilman ~'
Taylor and.seconded by Councilman,Gallaghsr--.that the clerk be instructed to
reply to said cammunicatiot~ and advise. Atternegs:5arau and Thompson that they
have been snieinfoimed;regardine to the.-dumping„of tin cane upon L4rs. Carter's
property as the City hae never used ths,propertyfor'a dumping ground, but that ~I

Councii.ma~Taylor then moved-.that Mr. Mara be appointed City Councilman

to fill the vacancy caused by-thesesignation of Councilman Tweed; said motion
~ receiving no second. ~

Councilman.Gallagher.then moved that-~Ir. J. P. Yatt Houten be-appointed
City Councilman to fill the existing vaeaney, which motion also failed to re-
ceive asecond.
Gounbil then considered the matter of a proposed amendment to-a certain
~ section of Ordinance 179 providing for inspeeticn and granting of permits for C
the erection of signs. in the city. ii

~ Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Taylor and seconded by Councilman l
SPa~nrGaliaghor that the matter of. proposed change'in Ordinance #179 be referred ~
to City Attorney Best-and-Buuild.ing in,epector Boyle, for consideration and approv
al which motion upon vote. carried. '~
