The meeting was called to order at the hour of 7 o!clock p.m. with Mayor A. G. Keck in the chair. I) Gouncilmsn H. Gallagher, H.:.O,:Langstaff,,C. S'. Merrifield and A. `G. Keck:: answered the roll call. Absent: C6uneilmesr A. S. Burnham.: I) „. i Minutes of the previous meeting held on Nov. :.4th were then read by the Clerk and on motion duly made and carried, were approved as read. ~i - { The clerk then presented to Council a communication from Geo. B. i ,Hec~sman requesting that he. be granted an_i:ncrease in salary. ~ I -Vhereupon it was movedby Councilman Merrifield and seconded by Councilman Langstaff that...: Mr. Heekman's applicstion for increase in salary.: I be laid over for further consideration to the next regular meeting oP the Council, which motion upon vote was carried, .. .. j - Councilman Langstaff of the Street Committee then reported that xu ~~ he had been requested by L. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Burnham. The.'-:chair then reported to Council-that he had been solicited for a donation from the City for She National Speed Boat races to be held. on Lake Elsinore>on Dec.~th and 8th, - and ssked Council'if they wished to°take anq action on the ;matter. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Gallagher and ;seconded by; Councilman Langstaff-that it be authorized that the. City donate the sum oS X100,00 to the-National Boat races and that warrant. for said.sum .be issuedao the_Treasixrer of the Lake Elsinoro Yacht Club; which motion was-carried by the following vote: Ayes: Goancilmen Gallagher, Langstaff, Merrifield and Keck. _ :Noes:None.; Absent: Counalman Burnham. - Councilman Burnham of the Auditing Committee being absent 'the Chair appointed Councilman Langataf~ to serve in the auditing of bills. - - Bills as audited by the Auditing Committee were then presented to Council-.and on motion duly made and on call vote carried vrere ordered paid-.and the Clerk was instructed to issue c, warrant s; in payment of same.: _ Thereupon there being no-further business'to come before the Council, on motion duly made and carried, Council adjourned to'meet ua'regular session onilVionday-Dec: 2nd'•, at the hour of ._ ~-o!clock p.m in the City Ha11; the usual"meeting place.
