Lovejoy ans- arered the roll call. isbsent: Councilman H, Gallagher. P<Iinutes of the previous meeting held on iVov. 24th, i~rere then read by the Clerk and there being no correc~ions or oimnisions, ~~rere spproved as read. The following communication sae read. by the Clerk. P. communication from IrTrs. J.H. Bell and daughter expressing their grategullness for flotaars;sentat th the time of their late bereaveaent and a cdmmunication from the Graimnar School P,T,F., a.clcno~arled.ging receipt and expressing thanks for the donation of (wj,00) received from'the City, It t=ras regularly moved. and carried that the coirununica.tio:ns.be recsi:ed and ordered placed. on file. Thereupon the Clerk p-rese±ited 'bo Council a communication from City Attorney Eugene Best addressed tc laiayor Lovejoy u~rih -reference to securing a loge opinion regarding to delinquent tax penalti:§s retained by the Council, Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Langstaff and seconded by Councilman Rice that the matter of delinquent tax Penalties be refereed to City Atty Best, and that he be authorized on behalf of.-the City>:of Elsinore to render a legal opinion on the matter, which motion upon vote waa unanimously carried. The Clerk then presented to, Council the Bldg Supts's monthly report for the month of Nov. avhich ~aras on motion duly made and ordered placed on file. Ther_+upon the Treasurers monthly. report Baas presented to .Council uohich < i^ras on motion duly made a.nd carried accepted and ordered placed on f_le. The Clerk then reported 'co Council that a sc-rial funding bond ens inter est coupons had been presented for pay,emt and that there vre_e not sufficient fun funds in said fund. to take up same as tax n7oney would probably net be received until after the first of the year. Councils attention Baas then called to the matter of the old sevrer pump being installed d.ocrn in the new sewer pit; and a~ter.some eonsidera,tion of the matter it was moved by C ouncilman Langstaff,-and second@d by Councilman Psiills that the Clerlc be instructed to inform 1'dr. Thereupon after Councils consideration of some manner in which to pro- vide a curfew signal it ~,~as moved .by Councilman Langstaff a.nd seconded by Council man P,~Iills, that D,R. Crane be authorized to'insta.ll a snap snitch at the fire siren, to provide a curfetiv si;;nal, which- motion upon vote rase caned. Iiz the Absence of Councilman Gallagher the chair a pointed Councilman Tviills to serve on the auditing cormuittee. Bills as audited by t:-ie Auditing Committee arras presorted to Council on motion duly made and on call<vote carried, were ordered paid and the Clerk was instructed to issue c;arrants in payment-of same.
