I Minutes of the previous meeting held on August 25th 4*,ere'then read by the Clerk and there being no corrections or omissions were approved as read• l The Bldg: Supt`s monthly report vvas then-;presented ao Council and on motion duly-made,and;;carried was, accepted and°ordered placed"on file. The Clerk then presented to Council,a communicatioh'from the League of Calif Municipalities asking to be advised what new legislation if any, is desired on behabf of-our`City-and ;advised that for the first time the league would maintain a representative at`Sacremento during the entire session of the legislation to look after the interests of our municipalities, - 4'Vhereupon it was duly moved and carried that the communication be received and ordered placed on file. Council then took up for consideration W. T. Pdoxley's claim for ~i',50 for a commission for renting the old City Hall. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Mills and seconded by Councilman Gallagh~n that Il4r, Moxloy's claim for X2,50 be allovaed which motion upon vote v;as carried, Ralph Brockett agent For the II~Yaryland Casualty Co, then speared before Council stating that the insurance placed with his Company covering the City officials and employees against Public Liability and Property Damage would ex- pire on Sept 11th and asked to be advised if Council vaished to have said insurance policy renewed. [9hereupon after Councils consideration of the matter it was moved by Coun- cilman Gallagher and seconded b y Councilman Mills that binds be secured from other. insurance agents and policy either renewed or placed elsewhere before expiration date which motion vaas upon vote carried. Councilman Gallagher then reported to Council that he had been requested by Altr. H, B. Kind to present to Council for consideration the matter of moving the Fire Hyetrant at the corner of Spring and. Sumner. St s, as he desired to put in a roadtivay at the corner of his property. In a discussion of the matter it was the consensus of opinion th:_t it be ordered to move the hydrant, but at Mr. King's expense or at least that he be billed for one half the expense. Councilman Gallagher favored the work be done at the City's expense and there- upon it vaas moved by Councilman Gallagher that the Water Supt. be instructed to move the fire hydrant at Spring and Sumner Sts. at the City's expense. The motion receiving no second was lost and no definite actioh was taken on the matter. Mr. A. W. Eckerson, o~a~ner of the Elsinore Camp Grounds then aapeared before Council and requested that he be granted permission to hang a sign across Main Page #2 Meeting of the:$th day of,Sept. 1930 ; Street at the intersection of Sumner St. .and after some discussion on the matter it was agreed thet it b~ laid over'for further consder- ation: In the absence of Councilman Rice the Chair. appointed Coutcil- man L2ills to serve on the Auditing Gornmittee. Bills as audited by:.the Auditing-Committee were then presented to Council and on motion duly made-..and on call vote carried were ordered paid and the Clerk was instructed to issue warrants in pay- ment of same.
