Lovejoy being absent, it'x~as'moved by Councilman Gallagher and seconded by Councilman Rice that .Councilman J. E. Mills be appointed to preside as Mayor`Pro-tem'during the absence of Mayor 'Lovejoy, which motion upon vote was unanimously carried: Councilmen H. Gallagher, S, M. Rice and J. E, Pdills answaered :the roll call. Absexit: Councilmen C. A. Lovejoy and H. O. Langstaff:` Minutes of the previoas meeting hold on June 30th were then read by the C1!erk and-there being no corrections or omissions were approved as read. ' The Bldg. Supt`s monthly report for the month of June was then ,presented to Council and on motion duly made and carried was accepted-and-ordered placed on file. The Treasurers monthly report for the month of June was then presented to Council and on motion duly made and carried was accepted and ordered placed on file. The Treasurers re~o~trshawing the 1924 Sewer Bond .fund overdrawn ~86,1~ it was moved by Councilman-Rice and seconded by Councilman Gallagher that it be authorized to transfer the sum of X86.17 from the ~7ater fund to the 1924 Sewaer Bond fund yrhich motion upon Ygte was unanimously carried. The Library Board's annual report for the year ending June 30th, 1930 showing their disbursements for the year and presenting their tentative budget for the ensuing year was then presented to Council for their consideration. yu'hereupon it was moved by Councilman Rice and seconded by Councilman Gallagher that the Library .Board's report of past years disbursement be-approved and accepted and that the proposed. tentative Library Budget for the'snsuing year 1930-31 be laid over to a later date .for furthor consideration'vrhich motion upon vote was carried, Thereupon Councilman Gallagher reported that there was an existing va- cancy on the Library Board and moved that Henry Perret be appointed to fill said vacancy, the motion-receiving no second was lost. The Clerx: then presented to Council a communication from the Elsinore Fireman's Relief Assn. to se~d a representative tcthe state annual Fireman's Gonvention and had recommend%Fire Ghief Tom Boyle as their represent<. ive with an advance from theer fund of ~25,OO to help pay his expenses and asked Council to allow a like amount. '.Rhereupon after Councils due consideration of the matter was moved by Councilman Gallagher and seconded by Councilman Rice that it be authorized to allow-Fire Chief Boyle X25,00 to help defray his expenses to the Fireman's annual convention to be held in San Francisco which motion was carried by the following voter Ayes:` Councilmen Gallag}~er, Rice and Mills. Noes: None, Absent: Councilmen Lovejoy and Langstaff. Page #2 _ Meeting of the 14th of July :1930. Bills as audited by the auditing Committee were then presented to Council and on motion duly made and on call vote parried were .ordered paid and the Clerk was instructed to issue warrants in payment of same. Ordinance No; 204 was scheduled to be presented Yvr adoption on second reading but'~hl.gethree members of Council being present it was agreed to lay the matter over to an adjourned meeting.
