A-regular adjourned meeting of the City Cor~neil of the City of Elsinore
teas held on the above date. The meeting was called to order at the 'hour ofi
7 o'clock P.M:, vrith kia.ycr Cr,.as,'L•ovejoy in "the 'chair,
Councilmen H. Gallagher, H. O. Langstaff,•S,-M, Rice, J. E. Pdills and C. A.
Lovejoy answered the roll call.
Absent: None.
Minutes of'tkie preBious meeting held on June 16th d~~ere then read by the
Clerk and there being no omissions or corrections were .approved asr cad..
The Clerk then presented to Council a communication from the 'yestern
Enterprise Gas Engine. Co. calling attention to a certain clause inserted a,n
the contract covering the purchase of gas engines .and pump equipment which
provided that credit of ~§20,00 was to be .allowed for certain used pump equip-
ment and that. it has been called to their attention. hat the._city desired to
regain this equipment and pay them the sum of $5"20:'00`uhich they stated was
agreeable to them and requested that remittance covering said amcunt be mailed
to then at as early a date as possible.
Upon @ouncils consideration of the matter it was agreed that. the matter
be laid over to the next meeting of Council.
The Water Supt's monthly report was then presented to Council and on motion
duly made and carried was accepted and ordered placed on file.
Ordinance #202 being an Ordinance of the City Council fixing the time and
place of regular meetings of the City Council was then presented on second reading..
Whereupon it wars. moved by Councilma.:i Edil7~siarid 'seconded by Councilman
Langstaff that. Ordinance #202 be passed and adopted, which motion wee carried
by the"following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen: Gallagher, L-:ngstaff, Rice, Dills and Lovejoy,
Noes: Ncne.
Absent: Ncne.
I"]hereupon Ordinance .203 was introduced and read being an Ordinance of
the City Council fixing .the water rates to be charged consumers using ureter
through a water meter and providing $or a minimum water rate charge.
h"lhereupon it was moved by Councilman Langstaff and seconded by Councilman
Rice that Ordinance #203 be .passed to its second reading which motion upon
call vote was unanimously carried.
Council then took up for further ccnsideration the bill by Dr. S. J.
Brimisall for fees for services as Health Officer, vrhich was laid over at
Councils last meeting.
Whereupon it was duly moved and carried that said bill be approved and
that the Clerk by instructed to issue a warrant in payment cf same.
The Clerk then reported to Council that upon making a cheek of the City
Ordinances he ascertained that there is no ordinance in effect which regulates
the closing hour of pool halls but that ordinance 191 does prohibit gambling
and the playing of any games with cards, dice or any device for money, checks
credits or other representative of value,

hereupon after Council`s consideration of the matter it was moved
by Councilman Langstaff that Chief of Police Barber be instructed to
see o it that'-0rdinance #191 is fully enforced wihich,motion ~~as carried
by the .following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen: bangstaff.Mills and Lovejoy..
Noes: CouncilmenL Gallagher and. Rice,
.Ahse~.t: ,Nome..
Thereupon there being no further business to come before Council
on motion duly made and carried Council adjourned to meet in regular
session on Monday, Sune 30; 1y30 at he hour of 9 o`clock P,M, in
the City Hall the ssual meeting place,
