MEETZIYG HELD OlY THE ~,;. ::..6th DAYOF. June..1930..
A regular meeting of the City Co}~ncil of the City o£ Elsinors cias held
on the above date. The meeting was called to order at the hour of ~ o'clock
P.M. with r4ayor C, A. Lovejoyy in the chair.
Councilmen H. Gallagher, H 0, Langstaff, S, M. Rice, J, E, It4ills and
C. A. Lovejoy answared the roll call. .
Absent: None,
Minutes of he previous meeting held on Jutsd 2nd were then read_by the
Clerk and there being no omissions or'corrections vaere approved as read.
The Clerk then presented to Council a communication".from Byron Jackson
Pump Co. regarding to missing parts on pump received from them and advising
tha$ they would supply said parts and ship at an early date, which com-
munication on motion duly. made and carried was received. and ordered placed
on file.
The G1eFY, then presented to-Council a communication Yrom the So..Cali~,
Gas Co. with enclosed executed Bond and copy of Resolution, requesting
Councils adoption of said resolution approving: the assignment"aftthe franchise.
approving the new bond and releasing the principal and suretie on the old
bond.
Ih!hereunon Resolution 234 was introduced and lead being,.a Resolution of
the City Ccuncil approving the assignment to So. Calif, Gas Co, in the penal
sum of X1000,00 and releasing S. H. Gunder and sureties on the old bond.
whereupon it Baas moved by Councilman,Rdills and seconded by Councilman Rice
that the Ros~luton ~'Z34 be passed and".adopted,"which motion was carried by the

Noes: None,
Absent: None.
whereupon Resolution #23§ was introduced and,read being a Resolution of
the City Council providing that a contract be .entered into with Glenn Graham
covering payment for engineering fees and authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk
to execute said contract.
whereupon it was moved bq Councilman Rice and seconded by Councilman Mills
'.that. Resolution '235 be passed and.; adopted which motioa,avas carried by the
following vote: :"

>whereupon Resolution #236 was introduced and read being a Resolution of
the City Council providing, hat .a contract be entered into e>>ith Glenn Graham
covering payment for engineering fees and appointing him City Engineer and
authorizing the ivYayorrand City C].erct o execute :such a contract;cn behalf of
the Gity of Elsinore.
whereupon it was moved by"Councilman Langstaff .and.seconded.,by,Councilman
Gallagher that Resolution T-,~23( be passed and adopted which motion ~a~a carried
by the folloi:-ing votei

Whe*eupon Ordinance }x,'202 was duly introduded and read on first reading
being an Ordinance~fi.xing the time and-place of Regular meetings of the City
Council of the City of Elsinore. ~ •
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Langstaff and seconded by Council-
man Gallagher that -0rdinance 202 be passed to its second reading which
•"motion was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gallag}~er, Langstaff, Rice, Pl.~ills and Lovejoy,
Noesr None.
Absent None. -
A bid filed by the Russell Sutherlin Co, for the proposed ewer bends
was then presented to Council they agreeing to purchase said bonds to bear
6~ int. at par plus a bonus of 25.00 and furnish bonds and all proceedings
• ' without expense or any obligation oiaWthetpart of the City.
P.~hereupon after consideration of`eaid bid it eras duly moved-and carried
that communication and bid of Russell Sutherlin Co, be received and ordered
placed on file. •
Council then took up for consideration the matter of revising the present
City Later rates.,. .
t4lrereupon it was moved by Councilman Mills and seconded by Councilman
Langstaff that the City 'a7ater rates be reduced and that Ordinance be pre-
pared fixing the water rates at X2.00 for first 1000 cubic Yeet and ~1.~"9
for second one thousand cubic feet, X1.25 for third 1000 cubic `feet and ~l.?.0
g5er thousand for e11 ovex• 3000cubic feet and that all water bills be subject
to a 20f discount if naia on or before the lOth•day of each month, which
motion was carried by the following vote: -
Ayes: Councilmen Gallagher, Langstaff, Rice, n4i11s and Lovejoy.
Noes: None.
Absent: -None.
The Park Committee then brought up for Councils consideration: the
matter of cleaning up the Plaza Block lot used by the City as a playground.
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Rice and seconded by Councilman
Langstaff that the Part. Committee be authorized to have the Plaza Block lot
cleaned beak?;te the alley which-motion upon vote was carried. Councilman
Gallagher voting No.
Bills as audated by th.e auditing committee were then presented to Council
and on v~otion`duly made and bn call vote carried were ordered paid and the
Clerk eras ffinstructed to issue warrants in payment of same,
Thereupon there being no further business to come before Council on
motion duly made and carried Council adjourned to 'meet in regular adjourned
session on Monday, June 23rd at the hour of 7 o'clock P. Ad, in the City Nall
