A regular meeting of the Gity Council of the City of Elsinore was
held on the above.date; The-meeting was called to order at the hour of ~:C,~0
with-Mayor A: G: Keckin the chair. °
Counciluu~n H: Gallagher, C. S. IRerrifield, A. S.-Burnham and A. G,
Keck:ans~rered:;the:roll call.
Absent:< Councilman H. 0: Langstaff. ?.
ARinutes of the previous meeting held on Feb. 24th were then read by
the-Clerk and on motion duly made. and carried were approved as read.
Tne Building'Superintendent's monthly report was then presented to
the Council and. on motion duly made and carried was-accepted and ordered
placed on file. .'
The Clerk then presented to the Council the Traasurer~$ monthlp re-
port, which was on motion duly made and carried, accepted and ordered placed
on .file.
A communication to Council:from the Auto Club of:Southern California
regarding their change of policy with reference to furnishing.traffic signs
was then read by the Clerk and on motion duly made and carried, was received
and ordered placed on file,
Resolution #225 was then introduced and read, being a Resolution of
the City. Council providing for the acceptance_of a deedfrom the AQariposa
Company executed in favor of the City of Elsinore conveying to said city an
easement and right of way,for a sewer pipe sine.
Whereupon it :was moved by Councilman Burnham and seconded by Council-
man Gallagher that resolution #225 be passed and adopted which motion was car-
ried by the follovring vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gallagher, T~Rerrifield, Burnham and Keck.
Noes: None.
Absexrt: Councilman Langstaff.
Whereupon Resolution 226 was introduced and read, being a resolution
of the City Council providing for the acdeptance of a.deed from A. M. Brown
executed in favor of the City of Elsinore conveying to said City an easement
and right-of-way for a sewer pipe line.
Whereupon it :was moved by Councilman Merrifineld:and seconded by
Councilman Gallagher that Resolution #226 be passed and adopted which motion
was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilman Gallagher, Pderrifield, Burnham and Keck.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Langstaff.
The hour o£ 7:30 p.m. having arrived, being the time fixed for hear-
ing of protests in the matter of Acquisition and Improvement District No. 1,
and the Clerk reported that no protests had ,been filed,-
Whereupon the chair inquired if anyonerpresent wished to_be heard in
the matter and none answered.

Whereupon Resolution.#22~ was introduced and read, being a
Resolution of the City Council f~.nding that the-owners of more than
one-half of the property included in the assessment district have
made no written objections to the things, proposed to be ,done and
determining tho extent and boundaries_of the; assessment district
and determining the grades for the improvement.
Whereupon it was moved_by Gouncilman Gallagher and seconded
by Councilman Burnham that Resolution1 #22'] be passed and adopted
which motion was carried by the folloFring.vote:
Ayes:. :Councilmen Gallagher, Perrifeld, Burnham and
Keck.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Langstaff.
Whereupon Resolution #228 was introduced and read, being a
Resolution of the City Council ordering that the improvements and
work described in Resolution of Intention 224 passed and adopted
on Feb. 10th; 1930, and in the plans, profiles,-detail. drawings
and specifiecations therein referrod;to, be done and made, and
that Pdonday the 24th day of aarch at the hour of x:30 p.m. of said
day, is hereby fixed as the time For receiving bids for the doing
o said work, and improvements-and directing the City Clerk of said
-City to publish a notice inviting sealed bids for the. .doing of same,
Whereupon it .was. moved by Councilman Merrifield and seconded
by Councilman Gallagher that Resolution 228 be passed and adopted,
ednich motion was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gallagher; Merrifield, Burnham,
and Keck.
.Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman H. 0, Langstaff.
.Ordinance #201 being an Ordinance fixing the salaries of City
Officials and City appoirrEees was then presented to the Council on
.second reading,.
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman P+ierrifield andseconded
by Councilman Gallagher that Ordinance #201 be passed and adopted
which motion was carried by he following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gallagher, Iuierrifield, Burnham and
Keck.
. Noes:. None.
Absent: Councilman Langstaff.
Map of Country Club Heights, Unit F rues then presented to
Council for their approval and acceptance..
Whereupon it was duly moved and carried that map of
Ccuntry Club Heights Unit F be approved and acdepted, said motion
was carried by the unanimous vote of Councilmen present.
The Clerk then called to Council's attention that the City

does not have an American Flag and that the present laws provide that there
shall be an American Flag on display at all electa.on polling places,
Whereupon it was duly moved and carried that the Clerk be authorized
to purchase a 4 x 6 American Flag for the City Hall.
M. Harmon, Water Superintendent then called_to Council's attexrtion
that .the welding outfit which he was using was about morn out, and asked
that he be authorized to purchase a new outfit. .
Whereupon.after-Council's due consideration of the matter,-'it was.
duly moved and carried that the chair appoint a committee to investigate
with Mr. Harmon the kind of outfit best to buy and that they be authorised
to purchasesamea
The chair appointed Councilmen. Gallagher and Merrifield to, serve
on said Committee.
Bills as .audited by the Auditing Committee were then presented to the
Council, and on motion duly made and .on call: vote carried were ordered paid
and the clerk .was instructed to issue warrants in 'payment of same.
Thereupon there being no further business to'come before the Council,
on motion duly made and carried, Council adjourned to meet in regular session
on F.Ronday, March 24th at the hour of ~ o'clock p.m. in the City Hall, the
