A xegular meeting o.f the .City .Council of the City of Elsinore .
was- held on the above date, The. meeting was called to order at the hour of
7 o'clock p.m, with Mayor A.. G,. Keck in he chair.
Gouncii.men H. Gallagher, C. S. Merrifield, A'. S. Burnham and A. G.
Keck answered the roll call.
Absent: Councilman H. 0. Langstaff..
Minutes of the previous meeting held on Jan. 13th were then read by the
- clerk, and on motion duly made and carrasd were approved_as read..
The Clerk then presented to Council the written application of B. D.
Robinson for:the.position of-caretaker of the City Park at a salary of X10.00
per month, during. the vrinter months and X20,00 per month for-the balance of the
year .
:.Whereupon it-was duly moved and. carried that said application be
received and`. ordered placed:on file for future consideration.
The clerk then read a communication from City Attorney Best to Coun-
cil in which he reported that he attended the hearing on Jan. 9th before the
Division of Water Rights in referehce to the proposedrallocation of water in
the San Jacinto River'and.had entered an appearance-for the City, thus pro-
tecting the rights of the City as a protestent to tho applications of the upper
users.
Whereupon it vras duly moved. and carried that said communication b}
received and ordered placed on file..
The clerk then read a communication from the G. Ud. Duntley Co. with
reference to the damage done to the curb at the corner of Main and Library Sts,
by-one of their trucks backing into it and advising that the bill covering the
cost of.repair of said curb be forwarded to them.

Whereupon it ~a moved by Councilman Burnham and seconded by Coun-
cilman Merrifield that it be ordered to have the damage to curb repaired and
that the bill for same be forwarded to the G. M. Duntley Co., which motion upon
vote was carried.
The Clerk then presented to Council F. Curt Miller's written request
for. permit to remove two palm trees-from the. parkway im front of his property
on Peck St.
After due consideration of the matter it was moved by Councilman
Gallagher and seconded by Councilman Merrifield that Mr. Miller's reeuest
for permit to remove taro palm trees be granted which motion-was carried by
the Following bote:
Ayes: Councilmen. Gallagher, Merrifield, Burnham and Keck.
Noes: None,
Absent: Councilman Langstaff.
The Clerk then read a communication from the Neptune Meter Co.
regarding the shipment of a meter which was left with them by one H.
Fambro, who stated he found it near Elsinore and that from their records

they found that it was sold by them to the City of Elsinore and therefore
being returned with request that if any reward was offered, that it be sent
direct to Pdr. Fambro.
Upon Council's consideration of the matter it was deemed unwise to
offer any reward for the return of the meter as it might encourage the theft
of other meters.
tNhereupon it was duly moved and carried that the communication be received
and that-the Clerk be instructed to reply to same.
Resolution #222 was then introduced being a resolution of the City
Council in the matter of Acquisition and Improvement District #1, providing
for the filing of application with the State Board of Health for permit to con-
struct trunk line sewers and authorizing and directing the Mayor of City to
sign and file such application with the. State Board of Health.
R~hereupon it was moved by Councilman Burnham and seconded bar Councilman
Gallagher that Resolution 222 be passed and adoptod which motion was carried.
by the following vote.
Ayes: Councilmen Gallagher, .Burnham, Merrifield, and Keck.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Langstaff.
Bills as audited by the Auditing Committee were then presented to Council
and on motion duly ,made and on call note carried, were ordered paid and the.
clerk was instructed to issue warrants in payment of same.
3'hereupon there being no further business to come before Council on
motion duly made and carried,. Council adjourned to meet in regular session on
Monday Fob. 10th, at the hoar of 7 o'clock p.m, in the City Ball the usual
meeting place.
