The meeting v,as called to order at the hour of 7 o'clock R.Iei, with
Hayour C.A.. Lovejoy in the chair.
Councilmen: H. Ga1~2ghar, O.B. Sheane, S,ft4' Rice, Geo.. H,1~~Iorton Jr,
N and C, A,. Lovejoy.answered the:roll call..

ft!inutes of the previous meeting held on Sept. 28th, iFrere then read by
.the:Clerk and there being no correct ions .or emissions were appro•red as read,
The Bldg Supt's monthly report for the month of Sept eras then presented
to Council and on motion duly made and carried v+~as accepted and ordered ply-ced
on file,
The Treasurers raonthly report Leas than nres.:nted to Council and mn raotion
duly made and carried vra.s accepted and ordered placed on file,
The Clarlc than presented 'to Council a coranunication from P,C. Grai?am Ford
dealer> ubmitting price on Ford Standard Coupe fully equipod of (~'u54.,00} and
agreeing to t::ke used police car ir. on trade at 0300,00) lea.vin~ balanco of
0 354,00} also submitting an estimate of approximate costfor reconditioning
the present police car. at 0102.50},
kfh,ereupon after Councils due consideration of the matter it ?•,•as agreed
that the matter be referred to the Policy Committee with instructidns that tray
secure bids from other dealers also estimates of .approximate cost of over-
hauling present police ear.
Thereupon ftir. Laird principal of -che Llsinore Grararaar School appeared
before Council and.. reported that the street and. crossings adjourning the school
a.re in a very bad condition causing the school bus drivers diffuiculty in getting
to the school and unnecessary vuear and tear cn.t'_ne school busses, and ranuestd
that Council make an inves'ti~ation of the matter and. order the repair of said
street .and install culverts at Heald a.nd Sumner ;rives on Langstaff St,
Whereupon it wa.s agreed by Council that the matter be investigated by the=:
Street Cornrnittse and work ordered done if nacasssry.
The Clerk then presented to Council a Resolution in regard to uncrnploy-
ment adopted by the League of Ca.lifornia.ftiunicipaliters, on Sept. 24, 1931 at the
33rd annus.l convention of said league.
Whereupon it was duly moved and carried that said Rssolution be rec~ivad
and ordered placed. on file for future consideration,
Resolution ~}2a8 vus then introduced and read being a Resolution of the
City Council regarding unen.plo,m?ent and resolving that the City Council convey
to the teachers of the local schools the suggestion that ti?ey apportion_ the
amount of one days se..iary per month to the City Street fund for a period of sex
months to be distributed in v+ages to the unimploy:,d of the City and that the
Cl.^rk be instructWd;.to mail a copy of said rssclution t,: each teacher employed
in the City Schools..
