A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Elsinore vras held on
the above data.
The .meeting .ras called to order at the hour of 7 o'clock P.N. with P.riayor
G,A, Lovejoy in the chair.
Councilmen: H. Gallagher, A.B'. S;neane S<.N. Rice, Geo. H, Piiorton Jr,.and
C.A. Lovejoy ans-w-ered the roll .call,
Absent: None.
I~dinutes of the previous meeting held on June 22nd, vre-re then read by the
Clark and-there being no corrections ex• omissions veers auproved as read.
The Clerk then presented to Council a cc~munication addx^ess;d to
bix•s. bi.A, Gardner-frcm City Atty Best vrith reference to Councils demand that
she take immediate-steps.. to install a necv.sewer s8rvice line, at the Lakeview
Bath house. ..
~8hereupor. after Councils further consideration of the matter it was moved
by Councilmsri Gallagher. and seconded by Councilman Norton t,'nat P;rs.: Gardner be
-ordered to install a new sewer connection at -the LakevievrBath house vrithin ten
days and if the'orde-r is not complied vfith-that her ,place of business be closed
up until such tine as tY!e connection is made, and that the Clerk be instructed
to Give FRrs. Gardner due notice to this effeet; vnc~h mot ion :upon. vote :was
carried.
The Bldg Supt's monthly report wras thou. presented to Council, which was on
motion duly made and carried accepted and,o.rderd ;placed on fella,
?gkrereupon the Treasurers monthly report was presented to. Council +uhich eras
on motion duly made and carried .accepted and ordered placed on file.
The Clerk then presented to Council a corrununication from l~rs. Charlotte E.
Kirkpatrick ivho on behalf of the fortnightly Club of Elsinore requested Council
to grant them permission to place a large china cabinet in the .City. hall to be
-used for"the display'of'a'collection of Indiah relics and semi:-precious stones
found in the vicinity of Elsinore. ,
?Ahereupon it ;vas moved by Councilman Norton and seconded by Councilman
Gallagher that the Fortnightly Club of Elsinore Ue granted permission~to place.
• in the City hall a eshinet for the. display of :Indian relics and semi-precicus
stones, which motion upon vote eras carried.
- T'ne Glerk then presented to Council the written resignation of H. G.
Habenic'rzt as a member of .the Elsinore Library Board with request t~~.t same be
effective immediately.

Skeane that the resignation-of H,G: Habeniclat d a member of .the Library Board
be accepted vrhich metier. upon vote was unanimously carried. ,
A communication frmm B.D, Robinson .City Pant Caretaker was hen preseraed
to Council; requesting Councils consideration of granting him some increase in
wages.
Ylheraupon it was moved by Councilman Sheane and seconded by Councilman
Gallagher that. the request of B,D. Robinson be laid on the table to the next
meeting of Council for further consideration which motion upon vote vras carried.

a On motion by Councilman D.iorton and seconded by Councilman Gallagher and
on vote carried, Proposed Ordinace 213 which :vas to-come up for second read
ing was ordersd laid over for future consideration.
- S£hereupon it t:as moved by Councilman Rice and seconeded by Couizcilman
Gallagher that the C1erY, be instructed to write to the-Calif League of 3duni-
cipalites reduesting copiss of Ordinances providing for collection with taxes
any money advanced by the City.for the expense of cleaning city lots, :?hich
motion upon vote was carried.
Thereupon the proposition of sals and: distribution of fresh avatar to the
citizens. of Elsinore vra.s 'taken up by the Council for consideratcn and discus
- sion vrith the representatives of the Sedco Plater Bo and the:Arrowhead Mater C
Co, and while no action was taken or definite plans made it was-agreed by Cou
Council that the matter was v~orthy of further: serious consideration and t'r,
'fha's.~£urther effort be made to try to wrork out satisfactory arrangements
with somo :va'ter company whereby fresh seater can be sold and distributed to
the citizens of Elsinore under proper regulations and. at a price the citiz
ens can..afford to pay,
Thereupon Councilman Gallagher_statcd that some time ago an Ordinan
cs-had been prepared, providing for.ehanging,the name of Riley St fro Tdc-
Donold St, and. expressed himself as favoring the introduction cf this Ordi
nanee at this time.
PShereupon it isas moved by Councilman Gallaghsr and seconded by
I Councilman I~dorton that Crdinance providing for. changing the name of Riley
i St to b?cDonold St be introduced and pre sated on first reading at this tim
which motion upon vote was carrisd.
Ordinance X213 was then introduced and read on first reading being,
an Ordinance providing for charging the nane..of Raley Street to I41eDoncld
St.
whereupon it vea moved by Councilman Gallagher and. Seconded by Coun
Councilman t!(orton that Ora.. 213 be passed to its second reading elhich
- motion wa.s carried by the follov,~ing vote:
Ayes: Councilmen: Gallagher,. Sheave, Rice, Morton and Lovejoy,..
Tdoea: PSone.
Absent: None.

--. ,_ Councils attention was then cailsd to the matter of the .old out-
fall sewer service line still being in service and that a bomber of part-
ies on Spring St were connected to it and for vvhorri ~ lins had been laid so
that they might connect to the nevr outfall ling and afar duo consideration
of the matter; it :vas agreed by Council. that immediate stops should be tak
taken for the abandoment of the old outfall line.
. whereupon it was moved by Councilu~an IP~orton and seconded by Counci
Councilman Gallagher, that all parties connected to the old outfall sewer
line om Spring street and on Riley street between Heald Ave, and Sumner
Move be ordered to connect to the new .sewer line and that they have the
work completed by Aug. 1§th, at which time the use of the old ou~fall
sewer like is to be abandoned, which motion upon vote vras carried.

- ginal contract be restored; to date frora-.July 1st, 193E srrhich motion
upon vote eras unanimously-carried.
Sills as auditied by the auditing committee =rere then presented
to Council. and on motion duly mada and on call vote paid and the Clerk
instructed to issue warrants in payment cf same,
Thereupon there being no Further business to cane beFcra Council
. on motion duly-ma.de and-carried Council adjourned to m~;et in regular
`session-on ~rionday July 2~th, at-the hour of ~ o'clock P.M. in:the City
