HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-23-1931 City Council Minutesy- REGULAR g?I;ETIN CF THU CITY CCUlQCIL March 23> 1931 A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Elsinore was held on the above date, The meeting was called to order at the .hour of ~o'oclock P,T'g, with Mayor. C. A,`Lovejoy in the chair. Councilmen: H, Gallagrer, H,C. Langstaff, S.M. Rice, J.E, i'~dills and C, A. Lovejoy. answered-the roll call, ~.bssnt: None. Minutes of the preti*icus meeting held on March 9th were read by the Clerk and there being no corrections or omissions were approved as reed, Thereupon the Clerk reported that there were no communications received or filed since the last meeting, The Committee appointed at the previous meeting to make an investigation of Lakrshore properties that might be secured for City Park purposes. Reported' that they-..discussed the matter with Mr. Binzley of the Mariposa Co ot~mers of considerable La:ceshore frontage, 'but that he was not in a. posit ion. to submit any definite proposition. Whereupon after some discussion and further consideration of the matt sr it was duly moved and carried that the Clerk be instructed to write to Mr. Ferand of the Sariposa Co, and request that he submit a definite proposition for Councils consideration. The Park Committee then submitted their report of progress made in the installation of a tourist kitchen in the room underneath the bandstand, also of their plans for making further plantings in the City Park. Whereupon it was duly moved and carried that -the report of the Park Committee be accepted. Council then took up for consideration a matter regarding the advisability of nst~.~ling a standby pumping equipment at the City Water Plant and after considerable discussion on the matter it vras agreed that the Council as a t*rhole meet on Sat. P;Ia.r. 28th for the purpose of maY,ing an investigation of matters at the City Pumping Plant. Bills as audited by the auditing committee were then presented to Council and on motion duly made and on call vote carried were ordered paid and the clerk was instructed to issue vaarrants in payment of sane. Thereupon there lacing no further business to come before Council on motion duly made and carried Council adjourned to meet in regular session on Monday Rpril 13th at the hour of ~ o'clock P.M. in the City Hall the usual meeting place.
