Supt's monthly report vas then presented to Council and on motion. duly i! made and cax•ried'was accepted and ordsreu'"placed on file. ~ Thereupon the Treasurer's monthly report cos presented to Council and on motion f ! duly mane and carried nuas accepted and ordered placed on-file. ' I . i whereupon the Clerk presented tc Council a communication from Bob'Ruskauff, ,! Chairman of the Fublicity and Program Committee of the Take Elsinore Boat Club ; i stating that the Fifth Annual L1idv~inter Outboard Championship Regatta !gill be ii i sta ed cn Lake Elsinore Nov, 26th and 2 th and solicit in the it ~` g 7 g C y Council for a contribution of X25 for the expenses of this event. ~! whereupem it was agreed by Council that this matter be laid over for further i ~ consideraticn later in i;he meeting. jj i~ The Clerk then presented to Council a communication from R. Foster Lamm, Vice President of the Citizens Nat'l Trust and Savings Eanks of Los Angeles, stating that they are in receipt of a letter from L. H. Anderson, Forest Supervisor j of the Cleveland National Forest, requesting the'Banks consent `tc the establishment j' '' of en "Unemployme~a Camp" on the golf course of-the Southern California Athletic 'and Country Club at Lake Elsinore, !whereby unemployed individuals will be hcused i~ , and fed in return for their labor in comtrncting fire~brsaks, roads etc. ~, ~i k P.4r. Lamm further advised thet it v~ould not b~ the desire of the Bank to give ~~ I permission for the utilization of this property e-ithout first securinc the reaction jj I of the City Officials of Fasinore and it they have no objection to the establishment j of such a camp, it rla.s requested that they be so advisad. Crane and Fire Chiaf Boyle, and Fire Department. i :whereupon the Chair reported. to Council that he attended the recent meeting of the Citrus Belt Branch of the League of Calif. Municipalities ~~hich ~;as held in ;i ~ Riverside and stated that there I as some discussion on the adoption of ordinances ~! ; ~ by cities providing for a license on sale or delivery of mdse. from Auto truc}a _ and protest registered by certain parties effected by said legislation 'r,o~uever thaw l REGULAR H.7~;TIP?G CF THE -0ITY COUNCIL November 14th;;-1932 there ~~s.s no definite action taken on the matter. The Chair also reported to Council that Nov.. 29th ;ae the date definitely. fixed for the benefit show to be given for the benefit of unemployment relief, but that details as yet have not been v-orked out. Thereupon Ordinance 215 was presented to Council on.first reading being an Ordinance Regulating Pool Rooms. i?'hereupon it ores moved by Councilman Skeane,and seconded by Councilman Rice that Ordinance #215 be passed to its second reading ~rhich met ion Xmas carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen: ,Gallagher, Riae, Skeane, 4,4orton and Lovejoy. Pioes: None. Absent: None. Council then took up for discussion and consideration the matter of authorizing theinsta.llation of a street light on E. Thereupon Orville L. Clark, Architect submitted for Councils consideration detailed plans of the proposed City Hall Bldg. a.nd stated that varitten specifi- cations covering said plans .would be fdrvarded to Council ~rrithin a few dad+s. 'thereupon Council agreed that said: plans be filed Eor future consideration. Thereupon Council took up for consideration the matter of ~:~age scale to be allo»ed for Tractor and grader ~aork and it ~as agreed by Council that 40Y per hour be Fixed as the wage scale for tract or .and grader work.. Upon Councils further consideration of the request of Lake Elsinore Boat Club for a contribution for the Boat Races, it ~=:as moved by Councilman Skeane that it be authorized to donate x,25 o the Lake Elsinore Boat Club for tYie boat races.to be held on Idov. 26 and 27, which motion upon vote was carried.. Bills as audited by the. auditing cormnittee :.ere then presented.to.Council and on motion duly mace and on call vote carried were ordered paid and the Clerk ~:as instructed to issue ~=arrants in payment of same.
